Many tourists prefer to stay in Adler, where the international airport of the resort sector is located, Lazarevskoye, Matsesta and other no less lovely places with wide beaches and comfortable hotels. From these towns you can go to Sochi for shopping, nightclubs or restaurants at least every day.

It should be remembered that the high season in Sochi begins in late spring and lasts until mid-autumn. This means that in the summer, prices rise significantly.

In order to choose a suitable accommodation for your vacation, you should have a clear idea of what you expect from a trip to Sochi. If excursion tourism is a priority, then you should settle in the city center next to the railway and bus stations. If you want to soak up the beaches, then you should choose a hotel or apartment closer to the sea, so as not to waste precious moments of relaxation on long walks to the coast.

In Sochi, as in many sea resorts, there is a rule: the closer the hotel is to the sea, the more expensive its rooms will be. Local rentals also like to cheat by pointing out in advertisements that the beach is “just 10 minutes” from their house or apartment. In fact, it is quite possible that these 10 minutes will have to go by public transport.

You can settle in Sochi:

  • in hostels. This is the cheapest accommodation option. The cost of a bed in a dormitory room ranges from 400 to 650 rubles per day. A double room will cost 1500-2500 rubles. The hostels "Tot Samy" on Pervomayskaya, "Panda" on Ostrovsky, "Eternal Summer" on Poltavskaya Street receive great reviews;

The price of a room in a sanatorium usually includes three meals a day and a certain range of health procedures. Three-star sanatoriums offer accommodation for 2300-3200 rubles per day. In more expensive sanatoriums, housing will cost 10,000-25,000 rubles per person. The latter include, for example, the Primorsky and Sochi sanatoriums;

You can hide from the summer heat and learn something new in Sochi museums. The local art museum has a good collection of Russian painting, graphics, icons, antique silver items. The museum is admitted for 200 rubles. The same is the price of a ticket to the historical museum. For 350 rubles, you can visit the exposition of the Nikola Tesla Museum, for 300 rubles - the Mechanical Museum of Leonardo da Vinci. Admiring an exhibition of sports and classic cars will cost 500 rubles.

It is worth allocating at least 4000 rubles for the excursion. For this money, you can visit 2-3 places near Sochi. For example, a tour to Krasnaya Polyana will cost 1,300 rubles, to Abkhazia - 1,800 rubles.

Everyone imagines ideal rest in their own way. For some, it is simply necessary to go to fashionable restaurants and pretentious clubs, arrange luxurious shopping for yourself, go on expensive excursions. Others will be happy with daily trips to the beach, walks along the promenade, meeting sunrises and sunsets, street food, bus trips to a neighboring resort.

Perhaps the minimum amount that may be required in Sochi is 2,000 rubles a day. It includes accommodation in the cheapest hostel, snacks in canteens or budget cafes, and buying inexpensive souvenirs. For a more comfortable existence, take with you 28-30 thousand rubles per week.
