Of all the heraldic symbols, perhaps the most magnificent, bright, solemn is the coat of arms of the Ryazan region, this is where the artists' imagination played out in full force. Firstly, the main official sign of the region has a complex compositional structure, secondly, it contains a large number of important symbolic elements, and thirdly, a rich color palette is used.
Symbol shield description
A full-color and one-color image of the heraldic symbol of the region is allowed, it is clear that color photos or illustrations look the most advantageous. It is also possible to use large and small versions of the coat of arms. The small version is a traditional French shield, for which the authors of the sketch chose a chic gold color. This shade is traditionally associated with prosperity, splendor, wealth.
There is only one character on the shield - this is a prince, but the authors strictly approached the image of a person, carefully prescribed a pose and the smallest details of clothing. If you take a closer look, you can see the following elements of the traditional princely attire:
- a green caftan with laces and two rows of gold buttons;
- scarlet epancha with gold ornaments and sable edge;
- a green headdress, also lined with fur and decorated with gold;
- scarlet boots.
The position taken by the prince on the shield is also interesting. He stands facing the viewer, in his right hand he holds a naked saber, with his left hand he holds the scabbard, which are also richly decorated and inlaid.
Important elements of the coat of arms
The full version of the coat of arms of the Ryazan region assumes the presence of other complexes. In particular, there are horses, they play the role of a kind of shield holders, shown as if coming out from behind the shield. For the depiction of animals, precious colors are chosen, the horses themselves are silver, the manes are gold.
Horses are associated with domestic animals that have served people in peace and war with faith and truth for centuries. On the shield, they are depicted standing on a gold foot. Symbolically, it is depicted through lying sheaves of ripe wheat, the shield and sheaves are entwined with a scarlet ribbon with a golden edge.
Splendor and solemnity to the image is added by the grand-ducal crown, crowning the heraldic composition, and the mantle, which is beautifully draped behind the shield. It has a rich scarlet color, lined with ermine fur, has a fringe, cords and tassels.
