The capital of Belgium beckons travelers with its urban landscapes, the Mini-Europe park, architecture (they are interested in examining buildings in the Gothic style), collections of paintings and sculptures stored in local museums. In addition, the city is interesting for lovers of automobiles - the Autoworld Museum is open here for them.

Atomium

A symbol of Brussels and the endless peaceful possibilities of nuclear energy, the 102 m high structure is represented as a model of an iron molecule, magnified 165 billion times. It is worth noting that the structure consists of spheres that can be visited (a mini-hotel and premises for exhibitions are open here) using connecting corridors, escalators or an elevator (the elevator delivers those who wish to the restaurant and the observation deck located in the upper part of the structure, from where they admire Brussels streets, cathedrals, palaces and other objects).

Brussels town hall

The town hall is famous for its 96-meter tower, the top of which is crowned with a 5-meter statue of the Archangel Michael. Several times a week, those who wish can go on a guided tour of the City Hall, during which they will be able to visit the halls decorated with paintings, mirrors in gilded frames and antique tapestries. And after passing through the halls, you can find yourself on the balcony, which serves as an observation deck. There is also a wedding hall here. It is worth noting that in the square where the Town Hall is installed, in August (every even year) travelers will be able to attend the Flower Carpet festival and admire the masterpieces of fresh flowers.

Basilica of the Sacre Coeur

The 89-meter Art Deco church invites guests to climb 52 meters in order to admire the beauty of Brussels from the observation deck (there is a charge of 4 euros for the climb). Those who wish will be able to visit the restaurant and museums (religious art museum and the exposition "Black Sisters"; their visit is possible by appointment); and also the basilica is a place where climbers and cavers train.

Fountain "Manneken Pis"

It is worth noting that several traditions are associated with this attraction: on special holidays, the stream of water is replaced with beer or wine (the statue is connected to a barrel with an alcoholic drink), and the “boy” himself is sometimes dressed up in costumes, and this ceremony is accompanied by the play of a brass band (the list of various garments, according to which the garments are replaced, are hung on the fountain grill).
