Description of the attraction

The Dinosaur Museum is located in the Zurich suburb of Aatal, which is 30 minutes away by public transport. It has been operating for over 20 years. Museum workers proudly call the establishment "the empire of dinosaurs".

Once the building of the museum was a textile factory, and now, on an area of 1,500 square meters, there are about two hundred exhibits illustrating different types of dinosaurs - from the smallest to a 23-meter brachiosaurus. There is a unique opportunity to plunge into the world of a long-gone civilization, to learn about its features. Much of the life of the lizards is still hidden from us, but the exhibitions reveal the most fully known information in various ways. In addition to animal figures, you will also find photographs here, you can watch films and videos about the life of lizards and excavations, and even touch fragments of bones of real lizards. A visit to the museum is recommended for both adults and children from 4 years old. Excursions and master classes are held for schoolchildren. The museum has a café and a souvenir shop.

The museum conducts independent excavations and hosts special exhibitions. However, the entrance to these exhibitions is not limited - if you wish, you can visit any of them while in the museum. These special exhibitions expand the overall exhibition with specific themes and objects, such as flying lizards and sea lizards, fossil whales, ammonites, etc. Paleontologists and lovers of ancient lizards come here from all over the world.
