The capital of Azerbaijan attracts travelers with many places of interest, invites them to stroll along Primorsky Boulevard and Fountain Square (famous for sculptures and fountains of various shapes; laser shows are held here), admire the flag and state symbols on the State Flag Square.
Maiden's Tower
The 28-meter tower is a symbol of Baku, interesting to tourists for its museum (the exposition presents archaeological materials; an exhibition is open here where you can look at medieval edged weapons) and the opportunity to admire the beauty of Baku from a height, in particular, Icheri Sheher and medieval baths. It is worth noting that during periodically held creative festivals, the tower is used as part of an installation - art canvases are projected onto its walls.
Palace of the Shirvanshahs
In addition to the palace (more than 50 rooms and several narrow spiral staircases have been preserved), the complex includes a bathhouse, a mausoleum (the interior decoration is represented by an underground crypt with a Bakuvi tombstone), a mosque, the Divan Khane courtyard (famous for its 8-sided rotunda-pavilion), and a burial vault.
Guests will be invited to view the palace's exposition, which displays jewelry, weapons and other items.
Parachute tower
The 75-meter tower is one of the symbols of Baku, previously it was used by fans of extreme sports for their intended purpose. But after the accident, jumping from the tower was forbidden. Today, there are flower beds and benches installed on which you can sit in order to admire the structure (there is an electronic board at the top that allows you to find out the date, time, wind strength and air temperature) and the surroundings.
Heydar Aliyev Center
The center is a symbol of modern Baku: guests here will find a restaurant, an auditorium, a museum named after Heydar Aliyev (the exposition will introduce Aliyev's life through video and photographic materials) and exhibition halls (the exhibition on the 1st floor involves viewing the exposition in the form of rock paintings, ancient coins, old specimens Bible and Koran, carpets and other, which will tell about the culture and history of Azerbaijan; on the 2nd floor you will be able to admire models of 45 sights of Baku and other Azerbaijani regions; on the 3rd floor there is an exhibition, the exposition of which is represented by photographs of natural monuments, places of interest and Azerbaijani culinary masterpieces) …
Flame towers
The towers are represented by three tall buildings in the form of tongues of flame (in the evening, thanks to the backlight and the included LED screens, the complex resembles a blazing fire). It is worth noting that the best views of Flame Towers are from the waterfront.
