Description of the attraction
The Museum of History and Local Lore in Primorsko-Akhtarsk is one of the city's attractions, located on Lenin Street. The museum building was erected at the beginning of the XX century. merchant Malyshev as a grain procurement office, in the courtyard of which warehouses and a mill were located.
Today, the Museum of History and Local Lore presents extensive compositions that tell visitors about the history of this region. The museum exposition of the first hall is represented by fragments of a helmet and a saber (XII century), found in the burial of an Adygean warrior, during construction work in the Sadki farm. Near the model of the Suvorov redoubt, there are Meotsk earthenware jugs dated to the IV-VI centuries. BC.
In the second hall of the museum you can see a model of a Cossack courtyard (a spinning machine, a row of wheel spinning wheels, a hand spinning wheel with spindles and a comb) and two Cossack suits. In the showcase near the Cossack uniform are cannonballs, milk jugs, and above the showcase are several glass bottles and a mold for curd cake. The showcase and stand of the small hall are dedicated to the veterans of the 4th Akhtarsk regiment. There are also diplomas, photocopies and personal documents.
In the far hall, stands with materials related to the period of the Great Patriotic War are placed: Soviet and captured weapons, ammunition, various items of front-line life. On the pedestal, museum visitors have the opportunity to see German captured weapons (rifle barrel, 16-caliber MG machine gun with a pistol grip, helmets and bayonets), Soviet ammunition and weapons (Mosin's "three-line" rifles (1895), Shpagin's submachine gun (1944) g.), ShKAS aircraft machine gun, bayonets for the Mosin rifle, grenades, etc.). On the pedestals and stands of the museum, items of front-line life are displayed, including a mug, a teapot and flasks. In the center of the hall there is a pedestal with a machine gun of the Maxim Hiram system.
The exhibition of agricultural machinery of the Museum of History and Local Lore is located in the open air. Here you can see an anchor from a fishing vessel, a 1936 STZ tractor, a steam engine from the 1950s, horse and manual agricultural machinery from the late 1920s and early 1930s. and much more.
