Description of the attraction
The Museum of Soviet Arcade Machines on Kuznetsky Most is a good option for parents and grandparents who want to remember their youth or introduce a child or grandson to the entertainment of the distant past. These devices can be called a real "time machine" and the prototype of computer games, which required dexterity, sharp eyes and quick reactions.
Within the walls of the museum are collected 50 operating slot machines, which instead of tokens "ate" 15-kopeck coins. The exposition also features an apparatus for the sale of carbonated water with or without syrup, “fed” with three-kopeck coins. Visitors receive coins of this denomination when purchasing an admission ticket, and therefore can try all the exhibits in action.
Slot machines of the Soviet era could be roughly divided into several categories. Some were created based on any sports games - "Football", "Basketball", "Gorodki", "Billiards". Others were intended for fans of fast driving - "Virage", "Auto racing" or "Auto rally". The amusement rides "Hunt", "Shooting Range", "Sniper" required the accuracy of shooting. And the gaming machines "Underwater Battle", "Sea Battle", "Air Battle" simulated battles under water, at sea and in the air, they were equipped with imitation periscopes and telescopes. The machines were operated using keys, buttons, levers and joysticks. Very believable rifles were attached to machine guns of the type "Hunt" and "Tir".
Usually, such devices were installed in special pavilions of parks of culture and recreation. In addition to the "shooters" and "race cars", in such pavilions there were also swinging rides for the little ones, which did not reach other machines.
The Museum of Soviet Arcade Machines was opened in 2007, and its exhibits were manufactured at factories in the 70s of the last century. Despite the fact that the collection of this museum is sometimes called unique, any of its exhibits can be rented and surprised guests of your holiday or other event.
