In many settlements located on the territory of the Russian Federation, heraldic symbols are associated with their geographical location, reflect the proximity of certain large natural objects. For example, the coat of arms of Anapa, a resort city on the Black Sea, is inextricably linked with the water element. This is manifested in the choice of the color palette and individual symbol elements.
Description of the coat of arms of Anapa
Like many other Russian cities, Anapa has its own heraldic symbol, the main elements of which are located on a French shield. Most of the settlements of Russia have the same shape, a rectangular shield with a rounding in the lower part at the corners and a sharpening in the center.
There are no such important complexes as supporters, a base, inscriptions with the name of the city or a motto, framed wreaths, and there is no crown crowning many coats of arms. Therefore, in a color photo, the heraldic symbol of Anapa looks very stylish and beautiful.
Only two colors were chosen to depict the background of the shield and the elements, while, on the one hand, they are among the most actively used in world heraldry. On the other hand, they are ideally combined with each other, associated with both natural elements and human activities. For the background of the shield, a rich azure color was chosen, for the elements - gold, which can be shown in yellow.
Important elements
All elements of the coat of arms are arranged evenly in the azure field:
- a golden disc with rays, symbolizing the sun;
- a grooved belt, from above - in the form of fortress teeth, from below - bounded by sea waves;
- stylized trière - a ship belonging to the class of antique warships.
Each of the elements fulfills a symbolic role and has its own meaning. The solar disk is surrounded by twenty-five rays, which symbolizes the long history of the city. Part of the wall with brickwork can be attributed to the famous Anapa fortress. This element also has a symbolic meaning - it shows the readiness of the residents of the city to defend the borders.
The waves are reminiscent of the geographical location of this settlement, and the trière is a symbol of the fact that maritime navigation and maritime trade have always been a priority in the area. Blue (azure) is traditionally associated with devotion, virtue, nobility, gold symbolizes stability, intellectual potential of residents, stability and wealth.
