Although the capital of Great Britain is an expensive vacation destination, it is still popular with numerous travelers.
Big Ben
Big Ben is a bell (its height is 2 m) inside the clock tower, the height of which is more than 90 m (since 2012 the attraction has been called “Elizabeth Tower”). Here, to the platform to the bell, you can climb 393 steps, but only for important guests of Great Britain.
Trafalgar Square
It is recommended to visit the National Gallery here for the opportunity to see 2000 masterpieces of painting (12-20 centuries). As for the numerous monuments, among them noteworthy is the installation of a ship (a copy of Nelson's “Victory”) in a glass bottle and a 44-meter column, the top of which is crowned with a statue of Admiral Nelson. This square pleases guests and residents with the main New Year tree, and also concerts, rallies and mass celebrations are held here.
Tower Bridge
The bridge's upper gallery (accessed by more than 200 steps in both towers; it costs £ 7 to climb) is used by pedestrians not only to cross the Thames, but also as a platform for spectacular views of London. In addition, visitors can look into the museum (a ticket will cost £ 8), where guests are invited to get acquainted with the steam engines that once lifted sections of the bridge and play with interactive models.
Madame Tussauds museum
This museum - a symbol of London, was opened in 1835, and invites guests to explore interesting wax exhibits (some figures talk, move, react to the actions of visitors), as well as visit the Cabinet of Horrors and "travel" to different eras of London history through viewing thematic films (large monitors have been created for this purpose).
