Burj Khalifa, Dubai
Since 2010, the skyscraper has been holding the lead. So far, no one can surpass the height of 828 meters. As many as three Chicago-based companies have designed this masterpiece of modern urban planning. The building became the winner in the "best-of-the-best" category in many major categories, from the number of floors and the longest elevator to the highest observation deck. And it is included in the list of the best engineering achievements on the planet.
Like everything in the Emirates, the skyscraper is known for its luxury. Its 163 floors house everything from hotels and shopping centers to an artificial lake and parks. Without leaving the building, you can visit the mosque, gyms, swimming pools, walk along the boulevards. Many famous wealthy people in the world have purchased prestigious housing in this skyscraper. The offices in it testify to the status of businessmen. And all wealthy tourists tend to stay in its luxury hotels.
Shanghai tower
The skyscraper in Shanghai is the tallest in East Asia (632 m), and is almost 200 meters and 20 storeys behind the Emirates' skyscraper. The second tallest building in the world, this building is one of the three Shanghai high-rise buildings, which also occupy places of honor in the list of the tallest skyscrapers.
The tower's designers, a California-based company, twisted the tower to resist wind. After all, typhoons often hit the city. And the walls of the building are designed double to keep the temperature. Royal Clock Tower, Mecca
The tower is part of a complex of 7 high-rise buildings next to the main Islamic shrine - the Kaaba, the Great Mosque. The complex was built in 2012 for the numerous pilgrims of Mecca.
Its architectural center is the clock tower, the third tallest building in the world, 601 m. Accordingly, the clocks located on all four sides of the tower are also considered the tallest in the world. And their dial is the largest. They are equipped with 21 thousand green and white LED flashing lights to indicate prayer times. These lights are recorded from a distance of 30 km.

During the construction, it had every chance of becoming a world leader - it was planned to install an antenna on a high-rise building. For fears that she would interfere with the planes, the plans were abandoned. As a result, the height was 599 meters. But in the nomination "the most", the skyscraper bears the status of the world's tallest office building. And its observation terrace is considered the highest in the category of indoor areas.
Another uniqueness of the skyscraper is the double-decker elevators. The filling of the center is standard: offices, retail space, conference rooms, hotel. The tower is clearly visible from Hong Kong and neighboring islands. In Shenzhen itself, the skyscraper is considered the center of the city's business district.
Lotte World Tower, Seoul
Another novelty in the top skyscrapers. Built in 2016. The height of the building above ground level is 555 meters. The clarification is significant, because 6 of the 123 floors are underground. The tallest building in South Korea and number 5 among the skyscrapers in the world.
