Description of the attraction
Ayia Irini is a small bay, well protected from the north wind, with an excellent sandy beach on the western coast of the Greek island of Paros. Ayia Irini is located just a few kilometers south of the administrative center and the main port of the island - the city of Parikya, and in summer it is very popular with both residents of the capital and its guests. Near the beach, on top of a small hill, rises the tiny snow-white church of Ayia Irini, after which, in fact, this place got its name.
Ayia Irini Beach is considered to be one of the best and most beautiful beaches in Paros. The crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea, fine golden sand, palm trees hanging almost above the water's edge and olive trees surrounding the beach, forming a natural shade and reliably protecting from the scorching sun, create incredibly beautiful landscapes. Here you will also find several cozy taverns where you can have a good rest and fully enjoy the traditional Greek cuisine.
Given its proximity to Parikya, Ayia Irini is an ideal place for a one-day visit and a great opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of the capital (despite its popularity, it is never overcrowded here). If you decide to spend a few days in this wonderful place, you must take into account that the choice of accommodation in the vicinity of Ayia Irini is relatively small, and it is still better to take care of booking in advance (comfortable cottages built in the architectural style typical of the Cycladic islands undoubtedly deserve special attention Agia Irini Villas).
