On the 1000 hectare island, there are approximately 2000 macaques. All of them are free, in their natural conditions, among rocks and trees. Monkeys approach people without hindrance, so visitors should adhere to some rules of conduct on the island. For example, it is undesirable to have shiny jewelry or watches on, so that curious animals do not steal them. They may also be interested in cameras, water bottles and other small items. In addition, you cannot feed the monkeys yourself. You can only buy food for them and give them to the reserve employee, who will immediately feed the monkeys.
Another entertainment for tourists on the island is the show of trained monkeys, which amaze with their agility and ingenuity. And some of the macaques even know how to breaststroke. Of course, this attraction is especially popular with children.
Usually tourists return from the island by boat past a wonderful restaurant, which is located right on the water. In this quiet and cozy place, visitors are offered a variety of seafood dishes. These are fried oysters, steamed fish, fish porridge, and much, much more.
