Description of the attraction
Budapest is the only capital city in the world with caves. Many caves are open to tourists. Scientists said that 18 kilometers of large and small caves remain unexplored under the city. And under the Buda Hills, at a depth of 50 meters, lies a huge lake with thermal water, which is part of the Molnara cave.
Here you can see the third in the country in terms of its length (7,200 m) Palveldi stalactite cave, and the famous Semlehegy mountain cave, the pisolite rock formations of which resemble bunches of grapes.
A cave and a system of deep corridors more than a kilometer long is located under the Buda Fortress. Between the rocky ceiling of half a million years ago and the walls of the labyrinth of caves, various mysterious adventures await visitors.
