Description of the attraction

Among the numerous beaches on the Greek island of Skiathos, the stunning Lalaria Beach, the visiting card of Skiathos and one of the most beautiful and photographed beaches in Greece, certainly deserves special attention. Lalaria Beach is located on the northern coast of the island and is accessible only from the sea. You can visit this piece of paradise on a tour boat from the port of Skiathos. As a rule, such trips are organized only in very good weather conditions.

Surrounded by huge impressive cliffs combined with the crystal clear azure waters of the Ionian Sea and rounded gray and white pebbles, Lalaria Beach is a fantastic sight. At the left end of the beach, you will see the imposing Tripia Petra (literally meaning "rock with holes") protruding right out of the water, carved into the rock by nature itself. Local belief says that if you swim under this arch twice, you will gain strength and youth. Since the beach is completely isolated, you will not find the usual tourist amenities here, but you can relax away from the bustle of the city and fully enjoy the harmony with nature and its delightful landscapes.

The famous sea caves of Skiathos - Skotini (Dark Cave) and Galatsia (Blue Cave), located near the Lalaria beach, deserve special attention. Skotini Cave is relatively small with low vaults and has a very narrow entrance, so light penetrates into the cave poorly and it is always quite dark here. The depth of the water in the cave is about 20 m. The Galatian Cave, on the other hand, is spacious, light and incredibly beautiful. As well as Lalaria beach, the caves are accessible only from the sea side.
