The construction was completed only 11 years later - in 1887. The museum is located on the territory of the Ram Nishas garden just opposite the New Gate. Initially, it was assumed that the Albert Hall would become a kind of city Assembly Hall, but later it was decided to turn it into a museum of art in Jaipur. To date, it contains a unique collection of valuable exhibits, which includes wood and metal products, luxurious handmade carpets, bright textiles, paintings, weapons and uniforms, toys and dolls, pottery, there is a hall dedicated to the flora and fauna of the state. as well as an Egyptian mummy. Later, in 1959, the museum was rebuilt and expanded, and several new galleries were added. In one of them, clothes and jewelry of different tribes and classes typical for the area are presented, and the other is dedicated to the famous henna painting, namely the traditional drawings of the state of Rajasthan - Mehendi Mandala, which are recognizable all over the world.
