Description of the attraction

Museum Center "Aqua" is located at a distance of one and a half kilometers from the main station in Silkeborg. It combines a small open-air zoo and an indoor aquarium. A variety of marine fish and mammals are represented here, as well as the most abundant coastal flora in Denmark. There are many playgrounds and attractions for children.

On the territory of the museum center there are many aquariums and vivariums where reptiles live - crocodiles, snakes and turtles. Among other things, the Aqua Museum Center invites its visitors to look at the very bottom of the seas and oceans. In the so-called "dark aquarium" the deep sea inhabitants of the sea are represented. Separate exhibitions and information screens provide information about each individual as well as the history of the geological development of Danish lakes. The zoo is home to mainly aquatic animals: beavers, otters, raccoons and storks. Moreover, there are rare species of animals that are under the threat of destruction.

In addition to the information center, there are many different entertainment options in the museum. Sometimes a kind of "contact zoo" is arranged here - that is, the visitor can take some animals in his arms, but feeding the animals is strictly prohibited. For family recreation, there is a special green area for a picnic. It is located on the shore of the lake. The museum even allows you to rent everything you need to grill kebabs. There is also a cozy cafe on the territory of the museum.

There are several attractions for children, especially water ones. You can practice your accuracy by shooting water pistols, jumping on a tightrope, or taking a ride on a water roller coaster. The smallest visitors to the museum can swim in a small pool - a paddling pool.
