On planet Earth there are many secluded corners and, conversely, vast territories that are inexplicably loved by travelers of all stripes. One of these places has received many beautiful names, the most famous of which are "Black Continent" and "Cradle of Civilization". Excursions in Africa are so versatile that any tourist can find an activity according to their interests.

Here you can travel along the coastline and the Sahara Desert, go on a Safari or conquer Kilimanjaro. Excursions related to the life and activities of ancient and modern people stand apart. Visitors will find the sites of the primitive inhabitants of Africa, the ruins of the beautiful Carthage, the magnificent capital, located in the north of Cairo or the southernmost Pretoria. For many vacationers, it becomes a discovery that the paradise islands, Mauritius, Seychelles and the Canary Islands, also belong to the "black continent".

The most popular excursions in Africa

It is impossible to answer the question which excursions in Africa are the most popular. Every country on this continent and every region has its own favorites. There are separate states adored by travelers:

  • Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, famous for their seaside resorts;
  • Mauritius and Seychelles, delighting with paradise exotic nature;
  • Kenya, Mozambique, promising vivid emotions from safari travel;
  • South Africa, delighting both nature and cities.

A journey through the city of contrasts

Cape Town, located in the very south of the continent, received this definition from tourists. The contrast is observed among the inhabitants (a sufficient number of "white" people), between the way of life, the urban landscapes and nature behind the outskirts are strikingly different. Combined tours are popular in this city, allowing you to see several interesting, diverse objects at once. Their duration is from one day, therefore it is difficult to name the average price.

Most often, the journey begins with a sightseeing tour of Cape Town and its attractions. It takes place in the city center along the most famous waterfront, named after Victoria and Albert, the central event is a visit to the famous Cape Town Oceanarium. Then a trip awaits guests to the business card, Table Mountain, which looks amazing both at the entrance and in the immediate vicinity.

The next day is devoted to acquaintance with the surroundings, first of all, tourists go to the famous geographical object - the Cape of Good Hope. Today there is a nature reserve with the same name, guests can see the following interesting objects:

  • Chapman's road, carved into an almost sheer cliff;
  • a lighthouse located at the top of the cape;
  • Boulders beach with the main inhabitants of the penguins.

Another day can be spent touring the so-called Stellenbosch wine farms. Winemaking was brought here by French travelers, back in the 17th century making the area a center for the production of a delicious grape drink. The program includes a visit to the old town of Stellenbosch, tours of wineries, acquaintance with wine production, of course, tasting and buying delicious souvenirs.

You can continue your acquaintance with South Africa by taking a trip along the southern coast along the Garden Road, which already implies many pleasant minutes. Diversified excursions await tourists - around the ostrich farm and the Kengo cave complex, acquaintance with the amazing representatives of the local flora and fauna or cave paintings of primitive man.

Nature of africa

The curious tourist on this continent will find deserts and forests, valleys and mountains, volcanic craters or jingling waterfalls. You can choose for a trip one of the national reserves in Africa, for example, the very first marine park. Tsitsikama Rainforest stretches for 80 kilometers along the rocky coastline. Along the route, guests will find cozy bays, fabulous waterfalls, wild beaches and lush vegetation.

Another popular African park is the Kruger, its attendants assure that it is here that you can see almost immediately the most famous animals of the continent, differing in size. This is the so-called African Big Five - elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, leopard. Each of them is good in its own way, each is worthy of admiration. The highlight of the local landscape is herds of antelopes that appear as a black dot on the horizon, then gracefully move along the savannah and instantly disappear when a leopard or hyenas appear.

The most expensive excursions in Africa are those where tourists choose helicopters or light planes as a means of transportation, allowing them to see beautiful panoramic views and quickly move around the territory.
