Description of the attraction

The unique, one-of-a-kind in Ukraine museum of cosmonautics was opened in Zhytomyr for a reason. It was here that the birth and childhood of a talented engineer and scientist, the ancestor of practical cosmonautics, who created Soviet rocket and space technology, a man whose ideas helped launch the first artificial Earth satellite, Sergei Korolev, took place.

The rich museum exposition is located in two buildings. Its memorial part is located in the building where the brilliant scientist was born, and tells about the main periods of his life and work. To accommodate the "space" part of the exposition, which tells interestingly about the history and stages of the formation of cosmonautics, a separate building was built. Two rockets directed upwards precede the entrance to this building. The creators based the extraordinary exposition of the museum on the concept of the integrity of man and space. This idea captivates with its fantastic mystery and exceptional entertainment.

Among the exhibits you can see examples of space installations and equipment, some of which have been in space. You can familiarize yourself with models of artificial satellites of the Earth and the lunar rover, made in full size and with extreme accuracy. And the stands, peculiarly designed in the form of flying saucers, present documents, photographs, personal belongings that belonged to the first conquerors of space, as well as objects that filled the orbital life. However, the museum's founders are most proud of another exhibit - a capsule with the soil of the Moon presented by NASA.

A special, truly cosmic atmosphere is created inside the pavilion thanks to the unique lighting and musical design, which turns the static exposition into a fantastic installation that will delight both children and adults alike.
