The waterfalls of Kyrgyzstan are natural objects that this country can rightfully be proud of (high mountains and picturesque gorges also brought glory to it).
Arslanbob waterfalls
They are represented by several waterfalls hiding in walnut forests, which include:
- Small Arslanbob (its height is 23 m): narrow paths will lead tourists to it (a steep spiral path and stairs are laid to the foot).
- Big Arslanbob (consists of 2 cascades, 60 and 80 m high): to see it in full, as well as to come close to it, it will not work, because it falls into an abyss - a narrow abyss, and on the way to the waterfall, curious travelers will be met by a slippery talus.
The surroundings of the waterfalls are interesting because those who wish there will be able to find a grotto, which is called the "Cave of 40 Angels".
Waterfall "Maiden's Tears"
The location of this 50-meter waterfall is the Jety-Oguz gorge. The trip to “Maiden's Tears” will be appreciated by lovers of mountain tourism - paths with excellent views lead to the waterfall (you can start from Karakol). Local residents will gladly tell tourists an interesting legend associated with the waterfall - it says that the girl who will wash in it will soon go down the aisle.
Kegetinsky waterfall
It takes refuge in the Kegety gorge, but once here, tourists can admire the water flow falling from a 30-meter height (located at a 2000-meter height above sea level). Those who are interested in history can drive away from the Kegetinsky waterfall and get to the Buran minaret (the journey by car will take more than half an hour).
Waterfalls in Abshir-Sai canyon
The Abshir-Sai river flows in the canyon, which forms waterfalls - among them the Milk waterfall (Abshir-Ata) stands out: it "falls" with a powerful pressure from a 15-meter height. It is worth noting that the local water is medicinal, so it is worth swimming here and taking water with you in bottles prepared in advance for this purpose.
Alamedin
To get to this 20-meter waterfall, you need to overcome the 1.5-hour walk (it passes in the Alamedin Gorge). It is worth noting that the gorge has thermal healing springs - it is allowed to swim in them, and if you wish, you can stay at the Teply Klyuchi sanatorium located here.
Waterfalls in Barskoon gorge
In the Barskoon gorge, 10 km long, travelers go to admire the waterfalls “Bowl of Minas” (height - 15 m), “Spray of champagne” and others. But the most famous is the Tears of a Leopard waterfall: its stream falls from a 100-meter height, so there is always noise next to it (in winter, Tears of a Leopard freezes, turning into a huge ice sculpture).
