Vacationers in Kazakhstan will be able to hunt and fish, go mountaineering, go on an educational excursion route or an ethnic eco-tour, and undergo treatment at health resorts. In addition, the locals will strongly recommend them to visit the waterfalls of Kazakhstan.
Burkhan-Bulak
This waterfall is located in the gorge of the Kora River, and consists of four cascades, with a total height of 168 m (the height of 3 visible cascades is 114 m). To see Burkhan-Bulak in all its glory, surrounded by reddish rocks covered with emerald moss, travelers are advised to come to it in July. If you plan a trip to Burkhan-Bulak for the winter months, you will be able to see a waterfall dressed in an ice robe.
Kokkol waterfall
It is located in the upper reaches of the Bolshoy Kokkol River, and is surrounded by a spruce and cedar forest. It is worth noting that a wide 10-meter stream falls down from an 80-meter ledge (its steepness is 60-70˚). A wide niche with polished walls has formed at the foot in the rock (if you wish, here you can see Chinese letters and drawings). Getting here, the stream forms water dust, which ionizes the air in the valley (in sunny weather, when it rises above the waterfall, you can witness the appearance of a multi-colored rainbow).
The Kokkol waterfall can be reached on foot or on horseback. Many tourists go to the area on a multi-day camping trip.
Rakhmanovskiy waterfall
It is formed by an unnamed stream that flows into Lake Rakhmanov and flows in a hollow surrounded by a deciduous forest. Rakhmanovskiy waterfall (water fall height - 30 m) consists of 3 cascades, which rush down from sheer cliffs.
Arasan
This waterfall is formed by the Arasan River, and its streams in two cascades fall into the gorge (travelers are impressed by the upper step, the height of the fall and the width of the stream is about 6 m), forming a deep foundation pit.
Butakovskie waterfalls
They are 2 waterfalls (Upper and Lower), located in the valley of the Butakovka river (guests and residents of Almaty like to relax on its banks). They are at a distance of about 3 km from each other, and the Lower waterfall (its height is 15 m) is greater than the Upper one. The hike here will be accompanied by a walk surrounded by picturesque views and breathing in clean air (there are recreation areas in the vicinity).
Bear waterfall
Of all the Turgen waterfalls (formed by the Turgen River), the Bear Falls is the most popular, throwing down its stream from a 30-meter height (it is only 2 km away from the road; a mountain path leads to it).
