Croatian waterfalls are a beautiful sight worth seeing (among them the most interesting are the waterfalls on the Plitvice Lakes).
Plitvice waterfalls
On the territory of the park, along which you can move strictly along paved paths (a walk within the shortest route will take 2 hours, and the longest - 7-8 hours) and wooden bridges (if you wish, you can ride a boat on Lake Koziak or take a small train along the road along the lakes; the cost of these entertainments is included in the price of an entrance ticket to the park), there are observation platforms, 16 reservoirs and a considerable number of waterfalls (new ones appear every year).
So, travelers are first of all recommended to get acquainted with the most famous and beautiful Sastavchi waterfall - its waters fall into the Korana and Plitvitsa rivers from a 72-meter height. In addition, on the Upper Lakes, visitors will be able to take photos and admire the waterfalls of Kozyachka, Batinovachka, Galovaczki, and on the Lower Lakes - Milka Trnina, Milanovaca and others.
Krka National Park waterfalls
There are 7 large waterfall cascades on the territory of the park (the total height difference is more than 240 m). It should be noted that, unlike Plitvice Lakes, here, in natural pools, visitors are allowed to swim. At the same time, there are special zones for swimming and fishing (there are 18 species of fish in the river of the same name), outside of which it is strictly forbidden to engage in this activity.
Skradinsky beech is a waterfall (length - 800 m, width ranges from 200-400 m), consisting of more than 15 cascades of different heights (the total height difference is 45 m). It is considered one of the most beautiful because of the rich flora and fauna surrounding it. From the Skradinsky beech by boat you can get to the waterfall, which occupies the 2nd place in popularity: it is called Roshki Slap (the height of the main waterfall is more than 22 m) and consists of a series of small cascades, popularly called the Necklaces. No less interesting is the Manoilovac waterfall - it consists of a series of travertine barriers, the total height of which is about 60 m (the main one is more than 30 m).
Not far from the waterfalls, it is recommended to find medieval fortresses in order to take a few photos in their background, as well as look at the ethnographic museum to look at the model of the country's first hydroelectric power station, created by the project of Nikola Tesla, and water mills.
