Want to visit the waterfalls of Venezuela? This country will gladly introduce any traveler to its unique natural water attractions.
Angel
The journey to Angel (height - 979 m; free fall - more than 800 m; water falls from Mount Auyan-Tepui) is hampered by tropical forests, and the routes that lead to it start from the village of Canaima (western part of the park). You can get a closer look at Angel not only during a helicopter ride - those who wish are offered to swim up to it in a motor canoe. But for extreme lovers there is a special “entertainment” - hang-gliding flight from the highest point.
Sapo waterfall
Centuries-old erosion has created a narrow path behind the waterfall cascade (Sapo height - 40, length - 120 m): tourists should try the local “attraction” - walk along this route, while experiencing opposite emotions (fear and delight). At the end of the path, they will visit the observation deck, from where views of the streams of water rushing from the mountain open.
El Acha waterfall
The way to El Acha can be done on foot or by boat: after admiring the natural miracle, it is recommended to find a hiking trail (passes behind the waterfall), which is overgrown with flowers and moss, and take a short trip (it is better to do this with a guide, wearing comfortable shoes). Then you can relax by visiting the nearby beach.
Chinak Meru
The 100-meter waterfall is famous for its picturesque nature and the speed of its fall (its power increases during the period of heavy rains).
Jaspe waterfall
The stream of this water cascade falls from the cliff and spills over the stone slabs, which are dark red in color. Under the cascades, those who wish will be offered to undergo massage procedures and pamper themselves with refreshing drinks. Some come here for one more reason - to confirm or deny the rumor about the healing effects of jasper on the human body (the lower slabs were formed by a stone that is a mixture of jasper and quartz).
Arapan Meru
The water of the 25-meter waterfall is clear, and its jets have a small power, so if you wish, you can rinse here after the trip that tourists who have gone to Arapan Meru have to make through the jungle. You can also have picnics here.
