Description of the attraction
The arboretum in Kirovograd is a fabulous blooming area that attracts the attention of tourists with the incredible beauty of Dutch tulips. The arboretum, called by the locals "Ukrainian Disneyland", is equipped with a number of attractions and offers a wide range of entertainment services.
The history of the arboretum began in the 58th year of the twentieth century, when a picturesque island was formed on the outskirts of the city, not only contributing to the improvement of the ecological situation in the area, but also later becoming a decoration and a place for recreation of urban residents. More than fifty species of all kinds of trees and shrubs were planted here. In 1972 the park received the status of a "memorial park". A small area for entertainment and recreation was formed on its territory. At the time of opening, the park had seven attractions.
Today, the Arboretum in Kirovograd is a park area stretching over 45 hectares, 33 of which are reserved for green spaces and landscape corners, and the rest is occupied by the entertainment sector. The entertainment complex is represented by a variety of attractions designed for every taste and different age categories of visitors. More than 40 attractions of foreign and domestic production that meet the global requirements of the entertainment industry will not leave a single guest indifferent.
A real highlight are 150 (!) Thousand tulips, annually delighting all guests of the park. Imported from Holland, they sprout with the onset of spring in order to be the first to give a good mood after long frosts. People from all over Ukraine come to see the "Kirovograd miracle".
For additional comfort of tourists, the park has an extensive network of catering points, a summer cinema, a stage for concert programs, volleyball and beach football fields, and a pet town.
