Description of the attraction
Kanapitsa is an excellent sandy beach on the southern coast of the Greek island of Skiathos. The beach is located just 4 km from Skiathos town on the small picturesque Kalamaki Peninsula. Once Kanapitsa was one of the most visited beaches of the island by tourists, but with the development of other resorts in Skiathos, its popularity has sharply decreased, which is undoubtedly its plus, since there is almost never an excessive crowd of people here.
The beach is well organized and ideal for families. The award-winning tavern right on the beach is the perfect place to dine while enjoying excellent local cuisine and stunning panoramic views.
It offers fans of active pastime - water skiing, windsurfing, scuba diving and much more. Lovers of long walks will appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Kanapitsa area. You can also rent a boat and take an exciting journey along the scenic coastline of Skiathos.
Next to the Kanapitsa beach (about 10 minutes walk) there is another equally good beach - Tzaneria.
