Description of the attraction
Victory Park in Sevastopol is one of the favorite recreation places for local residents and guests of the city. The park is located between Streletskaya and Kruglaya bays.
Sevastopol Victory Park was founded in 1975, to the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Labor collectives of the city, sailors of the Black Sea Fleet, schoolchildren and students took part in its construction. In the 90s. due to the collapse of the city's utilities and lack of funding, the park began to decline gradually.
Deputies of the fourth convocation of the district council supported the initiative of the Gagarinsky district state administration to revive old traditions and take the park zone for service by regional enterprises. In 2002-2005. funds were allocated from the district budget for cleaning and landscaping the park, planting and maintaining new green spaces.
Today the Sevastopol Victory Park is famous for its beauty. Its main decoration is the monument to St. George the Victorious, which was erected to commemorate the 220th anniversary of the founding of the city. Also in the park there are landscaped and wild beaches, and on the embankment there are many bars, cafes and attractions. All beaches are covered with pebbles. In 2012, on the territory of the Aquamarine hotel, the construction of a new beach with yellow sand, flat bottom, lots of sun loungers, sunshades, a sandy football field, fresh water showers and changing cabins was completed.
Victory Park is one of the best places for recreation and entertainment in Sevastopol. Every resident or visitor of the city can watch a volleyball or football match at a modern mini-stadium, erected on the territory of the entertainment complex "Good". In addition, visitors to the park can visit the extreme 5D cinema and diving center.
On the main alley of the Sevastopol park, there are a variety of entertainments for children: slides, trampolines, an artificial pool, electric cars and rollers are rented, toys and children's books are sold. For lovers of water slides in the Victory Park there is an amazing water park "Zurbagan".
