Description of the attraction

Victory Park, which is located in Odessa, is a favorite resting place for both citizens and guests of the city. The park is located in the famous resort area - Arcadia and was founded in 1840. Today it is one of the most well-groomed and landscaped parks in Odessa, and belongs to the monuments of landscape gardening art of international importance, protected by law. In addition, this is the only arboretum in Odessa. Initially, the Victory Park was named after V. I. Lenin.

The park has an extensive system of artificial ponds with fountains that create a unique microclimate. Here you can enjoy the healing coniferous aroma while slowly strolling through the pine forest. Or enjoy the singing of the wind in a birch grove as it plays with long branches. The park has a pump room with artesian water, where you can draw fresh cool water. The kids most of all love to run around the park alleys, or feed pigeons and squirrels, which are large in the park. And thanks to the constant proximity to people, they have become practically tame and are not afraid to come close. So if you go to the park, be sure to take something edible with you to share with our smaller brothers.

Today, many residents of Odessa are alarmed by the fact that the territory of the park is being given away by the city authorities for development. The park is located in a prestigious area, and its land costs a lot of money. However, residents of Odessa do not give up and defend their park to the last.

This is a great place for family leisure, as well as for walking on a hot summer day. But the park looks especially great in autumn, when the trees are dressed in golden robes.
