Description of the attraction
The Garden City of Grado is undoubtedly the most popular recreation area of the resort town with a well-developed tourist infrastructure. It is here that the main beach of the city - Spiaggia Principale, is located, as well as the thermal resort Terme Marina di Grado with a water park. Those who have already had enough of a beach holiday will like a walk in the green Parco delle Rose, which is also located in the City - Garden. In addition, there are opportunities for a variety of sports, such as tennis courts and golf courses, as well as several shops, bars and restaurants.
Spiaggia Principale Beach, the busiest place in Grado, stretches for 3 km. It is divided into several zones, each of which has its own characteristics. Some areas are free to visit, while others are considered elite recreation areas. A special area is given to lovers of outdoor activities. Children, and indeed their parents, will undoubtedly love a visit to the Water Park, the most popular attraction in Grado, located a few meters from Spiaggia Principale. The park, surrounded by lush greenery, has a huge seawater swimming pool, hot tubs, waterfalls, water slides, playgrounds for children, diving boards, and a bar with underwater seats.
I must say that even the ancient Romans knew about the healing properties of the sun and sand and alternated sun exposure with sand therapy. Thanks to Giuseppe Barellai, a pediatrician from Florence, the first spa center was built in Grado in 1873. Subsequently, the city, which also has thermal springs, became a recognized center for spa therapy. The healing properties of the springs were proven in 1892, when the first marine therapy commission was established. Today, thousands of people come to Grado who want to improve their health and restore the nervous system.
