Description of the attraction
The resort park in Zheleznovodsk is one of the main attractions of this city. The main entrance to the park is located from the side of Chaikovskogo street.
The spa park was created in 1825 on the eastern slope of Zheleznaya Gora in a forest park area of natural origin, which explains its uniqueness. The park with a total area of about 210 hectares has a multi-level layout. Military work teams were engaged in its arrangement. All work was carried out under the guidance of Italian architects - the Bernardazzi brothers.
The territory of the Zheleznovodsk resort park extends to the slopes of the Zheleznaya, Razvalka and Beshtau mountains. The forest area of the Beshtaugorsky Reserve is also located on the territory of the park. Throughout the park, walking trails of terrenkurs for vacationers were equipped. All of them are equipped with signs indicating the station number, as well as the length of the route and the height above sea level.
On the alley of the resort park there are old buildings, various entertainment facilities, pump rooms of Slavyansky and Vladimirsky springs, a chess pavilion, a flower calendar, and the Pushkin gallery. In the western part of the park you can see a wonderful musical pavilion, the Palace of the Emir of Bukhara and the sculpture "Signs of the Zodiac".
In the middle of the virgin forest, there are paths that lead to each spring. The park is decorated with graceful sculptures, beautiful benches, comfortable gazebos in the form of wigwams, huts and awnings, carved signs.
The main alley of the Kurortny Park ends with a platform with an amazing color and music fountain at the Smirnov spring. There is also a stone slide with an eagle.
The beauty and richness of the mountain landscape, combined with the inspiration and fruits of human labor, make the Zheleznovodsk Kurortny Park a unique beauty spot of nature.
