Theater "Satyricon" named after Arkady Raikin - Moscow theater, which is directed by Konstantin Arkadyevich Raikin. The theater was founded in Leningrad in 1939. The founder of the theater was Arkady Raikin. It was called the Leningrad Theater of Miniatures. It was a variety theater in which Arkady Raikin was the main actor.

During the Great Patriotic War, the theater traveled a lot with concerts on the fronts. Theater artists performed at airfields, at artillery positions, on warships. They drove thousands of kilometers. The motto of the artists was "To beat the fascists until complete victory with your weapon - satire." From 1946 to 1957, the theater toured extensively throughout the USSR. Since 1950, the theater has traveled a lot abroad. Raikin was well known in Poland, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, East Germany, Yugoslavia and Romania. In 1964, Raikin made a trip to England and performed there on television.

In 1981, the son of Arkady Raikin, Konstantin Raikin, came to the theater with a group of young actors. At his insistence, it was decided to move the theater to Moscow. In 1982 the theater moved from Leningrad to Moscow. The permission was given personally by Leonid Brezhnev.

In 1983 the building of the cinema "Tajikistan" was transferred to the Raikin Theater. The building required reconstruction. It lasted 4 years. During the reconstruction, the performances of the Raikin Theater were staged at the Rossiya State Central Concert Hall. In 1987 the theater received a new name - the State Theater "Satyricon". On June 4, 1987, in the reconstructed building of the theater, the premiere of the play "Peace to thy home" by S. Altov took place. On December 17 of the same year, Arkady Raikin passed away. Konstantin Raikin became the new director of the theater. His main task was to find a new face for the theater and its dramatic repertoire. In 1988, the premiere of the play "The Maids" by J. Genet took place. The performance was a resounding success.

In 1992, the theater became known as the "Russian State Theater" Satyricon "them. Arkady Raikin ". The Satyricon Theater staged satirical plays and classical plays: The Threepenny Opera by B. Brecht, Hamlet by W. Shakespeare, Signor Todero the Master after K. Goldoni, and Profitable Place by A. Ostrovsky. "Land of Love" by A. Ostrovsky. Performances of recent years: "Little Tragedies of Pushkin", "The Seagull", "Look Back in Anger", the children's play "Karasenok and Piglet".
