Description of the attraction
Rose Garden, located 32 km south of Bangkok, is one of the most beautiful tropical gardens in the world with unique varieties of Thai orchids and roses. However, you can please yourself here not only by contemplating a rich collection of flowers and walking along cozy shady paths. The garden hosts a unique variety of cultural shows every day, which in a short time give guests a glimpse of the different spectra of Thai life.
In particular, here you can witness such an important Buddhist ceremony for Thais as ordination to a monk or Buat Naag. Colorful, noisy and brightly relatives and friends see off young people who are embarking on the path of Dharma (Buddhist teachings). In Thailand, it is customary to send all the boys in the family to the temple, at least for a short period of 2 weeks. In this country, monasticism partly replaces military service in Russia.
Part of the cultural show is the so-called finger dance, a traditional Thai dance that came from northern Thailand. Its main feature is the original movements of the dancers' hands, bending the upper phalanges of the fingers upward.
What understanding of Thai culture can we talk about without traditional Muay Thai boxing? In Thailand, this is not just a martial art, but a separate religion with its own symbols and ceremonies. Muay Thai is the art of mastering oneself and one's body; in battle, boxers use all limbs to strike, as well as many protective amulets and tattoos.
In the Rose Garden, you can see a traditional Thai wedding ceremony in an authentic setting, as well as enjoy national songs and dances from different parts of the country, including the Kala dance, in which the coconut is the main attribute and the center of attention.
Even the whole spectrum of entertainment in the Rose Garden does not end there, elephant trekking, sword fighting, traditional Thai massage and much more await their spectators.
