Description of the attraction
On the northwestern coast of the picturesque Greek island of Rhodes, about 20 km from the capital of the same name and just a few kilometers from the international airport, there is a small resort village - Theologos (Tholos).
Today Theologos is a fairly popular resort with a well-developed tourist infrastructure. Here you will find a good selection of excellent hotels and comfortable apartments to suit all tastes, as well as many taverns and restaurants serving excellent local cuisine.
The old part of the town is a traditional Greek settlement with typical Rhodes architecture and narrow streets. You should definitely visit the main attraction of Theologos - the Church of St. Spyridon. This is a very beautiful snow-white temple with a high bell tower. Nature lovers will enjoy walks in the picturesque surroundings of Theologos. You can also rent a car and visit all the interesting places of the island of Rhodes.
Theologos is famous for its large, well-maintained pebble beach (with sun umbrellas and sun loungers) and the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Active guests can enjoy a variety of water sports here. Theologos is especially popular with windsurfing fans.
Not far from Theologos is the famous Valley of the Butterflies (Valley of Petaloudes). This is an amazingly beautiful place and one of the most unique reserves not only in Greece, but also in Europe, as well as one of the main attractions of the island of Rhodes.
An excellent tourist infrastructure, a beautiful beach, picturesque surroundings, as well as a cozy atmosphere of hospitality and cordiality of local residents every year attracts more and more tourists from all over the world to Theologos.
