The Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar Territory is famous not only for its numerous resorts, but also for its wonderful wineries. Vineyards are planted on 26 thousand hectares on the Taman Peninsula and below - in the Novorossiysk region. Wineries of the Krasnodar Territory, which allow tourists to visit, are large ("Abrau-Dyurso", "Myskhako", "Kuban-wine", "Fanagoria") and modest, family-type enterprises ("Karakesidi").

You can visit the wineries at any time of the year. The most picturesque vineyards look from late spring to mid-autumn. In summer, almost every winery hosts a series of holidays and festivals. In autumn, during the grape harvest, guests are invited to a festival of young wine, in winter they simply conduct excursions to the production and arrange tastings.

The famous Abrau-Dyurso sparkling wine factory is located in the village of the same name not far from the Black Sea coast on the shores of Lake Abrau, which means “Big” in Adyghe. Durso can be translated as "Four sources".

The imperial estates near Novorossiysk in 1872, thanks to the efforts of the Czech agronomist Franz Heyduk, suddenly turned into vineyards. Until the grapes gave the first harvest, none of the local residents believed that this was possible at all. In 1896, the first champagne was produced at the winery, the management of which was entrusted to Count Golitsyn. Five tunnels were created to store it. In 1897 the world was able to taste champagne under the Abrau brand.

Currently, excursions are organized around the plant for everyone, and they also offer tastings of the wine that is produced here. A brand shop has been opened at the winery.

Working hours: in summer from 9:00 to 19:00, in winter until 16:00, seven days a week.

Karakesidi

On the Kutok farm, half an hour's drive from Anapa, there is a wine-making house "Karakesidi", named after its owner Yanis Karakesidi, who himself meets tourists, conducts excursions, talks about the culture of drinking wine, recommends drinks and conducts intimate conversations.

Vineyards "Karakezidi" occupy an area of 8 hectares. Mostly red grape varieties grow here. Some vines were brought here from France. The oak barrels in which the wine is matured are made by the owner of the winery himself.

At the winery, a farm has been built where poultry and goats are raised, cheese is made, bread is baked, and then all these delicacies are served for tasting local dry wines. The owner is proud of the wine "Stretto".

Kuban wine

If the winery "Karakezidi" has only 8 hectares of vineyards, then the winery "Kuban-wine" - 12 thousand hectares, planted with vines. This winery, which is managed by the Ariant holding, is located in the village of Starotitarovskaya on the Taman Peninsula.

The winery was built in 1956. In his workshops, about a hundred different wines are produced, which are bottled in 60 million bottles annually. Some local drinks can be tasted during a visit to the factory. Tourists are also available for excursions, during which they will be able to follow the entire process of wine production. The noble drink matures in 800 oak barrels.

Do not forget to look into a specialized store at the factory, where very affordable prices are set.

Opening hours: from 8:00 to 17:00, weekends on request.

Lefkadia

Lefkadia in the village of Moldavanskoye near Novorossiysk is not just a winery, but rather a farm that will soon turn into a fashionable resort with a golf course, oak forest and other interesting locations.

In addition to wine produced since 2011, they produce cheese, make their own honey, and grow organic vegetables.

Lefkadia's vineyards are grown on an 80-hectare plot. Grapes of 23 varieties grow here. All work on harvesting is carried out without the involvement of special equipment, only by the forces of hired workers.

Tourists are shown both the winery itself and a very interesting museum dedicated to wine and winemaking. Tastings are also an integral part of the excursion.

They were ordered to disembark by the head of Novorossiysk at that time, Mikhail Penchul. However, as archaeologists assure, grapes have been grown here since the era of Ancient Greece.

Myskhako is a large factory where they know how and love to entertain tourists. A spacious tasting room has been built here (try Cabernet Myskhako and Red Myskhako), there is an art space where interesting art exhibitions are often held, the Artsakh restaurant is open, where delicious meat dishes will be served with wine.
