This time, the Japanese, even in the midst of a pandemic, managed to deliver the Olympic flame to Tokyo and hoped for it, but soon it was officially announced that the main sporting event of the four-year period was postponed for a year. As a reminder, according to the decision of WADA, the Russian team will not be allowed to participate.
Euro 2020
The European Football Championship was planned for the summer, matches were to be held in 12 cities of the Old World, including St. Petersburg. Ice Hockey World Championship
Unlike most major sporting events, the 2020 Ice Hockey World Championship has not been rescheduled, but canceled. The tournament was supposed to take place in Switzerland, and in the midst of the pandemic, the IIHF leadership considered the possibility of transferring it to Sochi. However, later it was decided to abandon this idea - this year no one will get the trophy.
Fight Nurmagomedov - Ferguson
The principal duel of MMA stars is broken for the fifth time. Previously, the fight was canceled twice due to Tony's injury and the same number due to Khabib's injuries.
