Tourists love this city for a unique opportunity to simultaneously heal their health at the famous local mineral water springs and have a good rest. Walks around Kislovodsk show that, among other things, the city is rich in ancient monuments, architectural and cultural attractions. One small nuance - Kislovodsk has its own so-called Old Town, but this is not a historical center and not a place for guests to walk, but literally a microdistrict of relatively old residential buildings.

Local residents consider the valley to be the main attraction of Kislovodsk, where the city is comfortably located. Therefore, most of the tourist routes run in the vicinity, and not in the center. It is known that Mikhail Lermontov spent his exile in these places, where his famous story "Princess Mary" appeared, which became part of the cult creation "A Hero of Our Time".
