Are you interested in visiting the Ural waterfalls? There are not so many of these water bodies as we would like, but on the mountain rivers of the polar and subpolar Urals, a meeting with waterfall cascades cannot be called a rare phenomenon.
Atysh
This is the only waterfall in the Urals (its height is 4.5 m, and its width is 6 m), which “shoots” from a cave grotto. The road to the Atysh waterfall is not easy and fast, so it is advisable to plan a hike with an overnight stay (it will allow you to recuperate before heading back).
Shata waterfall
It is formed by the Shata River and has a height of about 5 m. It is best to visit the Shatsky waterfall after a heavy rain or during a period when the snow is melting intensively. Travelers wishing to spend time in nature, it makes sense to descend from the waterfall downstream - there they will find a small bridge over which you can go to the other side, as well as meadows for a picnic and a gazebo.
Zhigalan waterfalls
They represent five cascades on the Zhigalan River: the three lower cascades are of the greatest interest (they fall from a 10-meter height), and the last of them is the largest (height - 15 m). It is worth noting that the water here is very cold, since the river originates in a snowfield on Vogulskaya Sopka. Tourists can enjoy the beauty of these places and the power of water jets by the trail along the river, as well as natural observation platforms. In addition, not far from the Zhigalan waterfalls, it will be possible to find the border mark dividing Europe and Asia.
Buredan waterfall
It is a 3-step waterfall on the Kara River (its rapids stretch for 10 km), the streams of which flow from a 10-meter height. Of no less interest to extreme tourists are the opportunities for rafting on the Kara River (routes of varying difficulty have been developed).
Waterfall on the Kamenka river
Kamenka, meeting a marble massif on its way, over time “broke through” a channel in it. And since the layers of multi-colored marble are heterogeneous, the river began to drain in small cascades from a 4-meter height, forming a lake, which is called the Marble Reach. In summer, the waterfall often dries up, but this object is a worthwhile place to visit, because in addition to the waterfall itself, guests can admire the outcrops of marble layers, and below the lake they will be able to see how Kamenka continues its journey in a picturesque canyon.
