Many exciting adventures and interesting objects and places for recreation await guests of the Great Park of the Korean capital. In addition to the Seoul Zoo, there is a Flower Garden, a large Seoul Land amusement park, a rose garden, a Museum of Contemporary Art and dozens of hiking trails that form a variety of tourist routes for travelers big and small.

Seoul Zoo at Grand Park

For the first time in this park, animals appeared in 1984. It was then that the aviaries were built, in which the four-legged guests were accommodated, which became the favorites of the public in almost a few days.

Today, Seoul Zoo is home to more than 3,000 animals, representing 350 different species, peacefully side by side. Among the inhabitants are peacocks and flamingos, elephants and monkeys, giraffes and parrots. In the contact mini-zoo for children, you can feed goats, pet rabbits and make friends with horses.

Pride and achievement

The most popular residents of the Seoul Zoo are dolphins and seals. Shows with their participation are watched annually by several hundred thousand people, and these artists are the real pride of the park administration. And on its territory there is one of the largest Asian botanical gardens, surrounded by the Chongesan mountain range. In the botanical garden, Seoul residents not only admire exotic plants, but also gather in companies in restaurants with national cuisine. Against the background of the surrounding splendor, it will be especially pleasant for foreign tourists to taste Korean food.

How to get there?

The zoo's address is 102, Daegongwongwangjang-ro, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi, Seoul.

The easiest way to get to the zoo is to use the Seoul subway service. Take the line 4 train, marked in blue on the diagram, to Seoul Grand Park Station, get to the surface via Exit 2 and change to the free buses to the upper entrance to the city park, or walk along the alley. A tram runs from the gate to the zoo, which takes guests directly to the entrance to the zoo for a small fee.
