Description of the attraction
The Motor Sich Museum of Aviation and High Technologies is located in the city of Zaporozhye, in the Klimov Park, not far from the Shevchenko Regional Administration.
This museum was opened in honor of the 105th anniversary of Motor Sich JSC and the 50th anniversary of the Shevchenko region of Zaporozhye. The head of this enterprise is Vyacheslav Boguslaev. According to him, everything that a visitor to the museum can see today is only the beginning, and in the future the museum will develop rather quickly and expand the number of exhibits. The museum plans to create a weapons pavilion, as well as a hall dedicated to such well-known enterprises as Zaporizhstal and Dneprospetsstal.
This museum displays aircraft engines, the production of which has been carried out since 1916 at Motor Sich. Here you can see piston star-shaped aircraft engines manufactured before the Great Patriotic War, after its end, and modern engines for various aircraft and helicopters.
The museum has two large high-tech halls. They show high-speed milling technologies, as well as many other methods that were used in the processing of parts. Also here you will find the most modern technologies for applying various coatings.
The most interesting exhibit of the museum is the Mi-24 model combat-transport helicopter, the engine of which was produced by Motor Sich JSC. It is located near the very entrance to the museum and will certainly attract the attention of everyone who passes by this building.
In the museum you can see exhibits not only of aviation subjects, but a variety of consumer goods: milk separators, walk-behind tractors, chainsaws, wind power plants and other products manufactured at Motor Sich JSC.
But the most spectacular in the museum are 25 retro motorcycles.
