Description of the attraction
Windsor is a small town located near the capital of Great Britain London. However, due to the fact that it is the official residence of the British monarchs - Windsor Castle - this city is very popular with tourists, both British and foreign. Windsor boasts a highly developed tourism industry that is more typical of large cities. Two railway stations, hotels for every taste and budget and entertainment, among which, of course, the Ferris wheel should be noted.
The Ferris wheel in Windsor began operating in 2006. This is not a stationary, but a mobile Ferris wheel, and it does not work all year round, but only in the summer months. It takes about a week to install it. The wheel is set in Alexandra Gardens Park. From a height of 60 meters, there is a beautiful view of the city, the royal castle, Eton College and the Thames.
On the wheel there are 40 closed gondolas for six passengers with all-round visibility, in which tourists feel comfortable in any weather, plus one VIP gondola and one gondola for the disabled. A complete wheel revolution takes about 12 minutes.
