Description of the attraction
Legoland in Windsor is a children's amusement park dedicated to the Lego children's construction set. This is the second Legoland, the first was opened in Denmark, in the homeland of Lego, in 1987. The former Windsor Safari Park won over 1,000 entries. The construction of the park took almost two years.
The park consists of several zones. In Miniland you can see miniature copies of cities, buildings, cars. Mini-London has been built in Windsor Miniland with a working model of the Eye of London, a parade of guardsmen and St. Paul's Cathedral; Stonehenge and typical Welsh village, Edinburgh Castle and Loch Ness. Here you can also see Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands and France.
For the little ones there is Duploland, and for history and adventure lovers there is the Viking Country and the Pharaonic Country, with rides along the river on Viking ships or through a dark tunnel through the pyramid. If this is not enough for your children, there is the Country of Knights and the Island of Pirates. And in the Land of Adventures you will dive on a submarine to the sunken Atlantis, which is guarded by living sharks. And this is not all the attractions that are waiting for children and adults.
There are many shops in the park where you can buy souvenirs, toys and, of course, Lego sets.
Legoland in Windsor is generally open from March to November. Please check the days off and opening hours just before your trip to the park.
