Legoland is an impressive theme park located in the central part of the Jutland Peninsula, in the town of Billund. The creation of the park was conceived in 1949 by the founder of the Lego plant, Ole Kirk Kristansen. After the death of Ole Kirk Kristansen in 1958, his son Gottfried took over the management of the family business. Two years later, he bought shares of the inheritance from his three brothers. On June 7, 1968, the territory of the park of 30,000 square meters was opened. with the aim of promoting the toy business in Billund.

Legoland has gained instant popularity among tourists from all over the world. The park gradually expanded its area as original themed attractions were added. Today the area of the park is 100,000 sq. M. It contains models of sights of the whole world, historical cultural monuments, animals, fairy-tale heroes, made with the help of the Lego constructor, which is more than 46 million cubes.

Legoland is divided into nine themed entertainment worlds: Miniland, Duplo World, Imagination World, Legoredo City, Pirate Land, Kingdom of the Knights, Adventure World, Lego City, Polar Lands ". Since 2005, a new service "Kidspotter" has been introduced (a special bracelet is put on the child's hand), which helps young visitors to the park not to get lost.

On the territory of Legoland, there are a large number of cafes and restaurants where you can refresh yourself with pizza, hamburgers, chips, soft drinks, as well as taste dishes of medieval cuisine. In "Legoredo" there are souvenir shops with the attributes of "Lego". In the "World of Imagination" a confectionery shop with a wide variety of sweets has been opened: sweets, chocolate, cotton candy, cakes.

At the exit from Legoland, there is the world's largest Lego construction store, and next to it is a Lego® Wear children's clothing store.

The Legoland entertainment complex is a very popular attraction in Denmark. More than 1.9 million guests from all over the world visit it during the year.
