Description of the attraction

For the XX Olympic Games in 1972, the Olympic Park sports and entertainment complex was built. Its 290-meter high Olympic Tower is visible from almost anywhere in Munich. And the observation deck of the tower offers a magnificent view of the city and the Alps.

The roof of the sports complex looks like a huge spider web. This glass-covered metal structure with an area of more than 70 thousand square meters unites sports pavilions, a swimming pool and the Olympic Stadium, which has a capacity of 78 thousand spectators.

Not far from the lake, where rowing competitions are held, there is an Open Air Theater. Another curious structure is an artificial mountain 52 meters high, built from the rubble of buildings destroyed during the Second World War.

The BMW Museum is nearby. Its building is built in the form of a silver hemisphere without windows. The exposition of the museum is dedicated to the world famous brand of cars and motorcycles. It visually represents the path traveled by the concern and the promising car models of the future.
