Description of the attraction
This unusual waterfall is located in the northeastern part of the island near the road that connects Penville and Vieille Casa. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes, and the elevation difference is 170 m. Vieille Cas is a small village located in the north of Dominica with a population of only 726 inhabitants. Translated from French, its name means "old hut". Penville is a village in St Andrew County, north of Vieille Cas. It is even smaller, with only 526 people living in it.
A small waterfall and a pond are protected from all sides by rocky mountains, this creates the effect of a funnel. The waterfall is surrounded by a dense tropical forest, thickets of trees and all kinds of shrubs. You will have to wade several streams to get here, so be sure to wear waterproof shoes.
