A year after the tragic death of the famous actor Andrei Mironov, his longtime friend and colleague Rudolf Furmanov created the Andrei Mironov Concert Studio of Theater Actors, which acquired the status of a theater in 1991. Rudolf Furmanov is the first true entrepreneur in the Soviet and post-Soviet space, who devoted almost half a century to working with theater actors and directors. He managed to revive the theatrical entreprise, which was banned after the decree on the nationalization of theaters in 1919.
A distinctive feature of the Russian Entreprise theater, which became the first contract theater in Russia, was the principle of combining the merits of pre-revolutionary contract performances of actors, European self-financing in the field of theatrical performances and the possibilities of the repertoire theater. The main task of the theater "Russian Entreprise" was to create a repertoire that would quickly take its rightful place among other theaters in the city on the Neva. This was possible thanks to cooperation with brilliant actors: Alisa Freindlich, Ekaterina Marusyak, Vladislav Strzhelchik, Andrey Tolubeev, who played in productions by the director of the Bolshoi Drama Theater Lyudmila Shuvalova.
The first step towards the formation of the classical repertoire was the production of Dead Souls in 1993, directed by Vlad Furman. There are three actors in this performance: Nikolai Dick, Sergei Russkin, Alexei Fedkin, playing 12 roles. This original production was awarded a prize in the category "Innovative Directing" and received a diploma from the 1st International Festival of the Russian Theater Festival in Paris.
For the first 8 seasons, the theater did not have its own stage, and the performances were staged on the stage of other St. Petersburg theaters. The theater has given tours both at home and abroad many times.
In October 1996, the theater "Russian Entreprise" them. Andrei Mironov, nevertheless, found his house in building No. 75 on Bolshoy Prospekt - a former tenement house, erected according to the project of K. I. Rosenstein and A. E. Belogruda at the beginning of the 20th century.
The theater building is an architectural landmark of the city. Its distinctive feature is the facade with hexagonal towers built in the Gothic style and romantic sculptural decor. The building passed to the theater thanks to the fact that R. Furmanov found archival documents, according to which this house belonged in pre-revolutionary times to Andrei Mironov's grandfather.
On its own stage, the Russian Entreprise Theater has staged 40 diverse performances, uniting the best directors, actors, artists of St. Petersburg into a single creative team.

According to a long-standing theatrical tradition, since 1988, benefit performances by leading actors from the best theaters in Moscow and St. Petersburg have been held on the stage of the Russian Entreprise.
