But today there is not the highest service, the obvious consequences of the war in the form of destroyed buildings, a small selection of entertainment, annoying little things in the form of a lack of terminals and ATMs. And yet, Russians come here, and willingly. Ecology
This is the main plus of rest in Abkhazia today. The ecosystem is almost perfect. There is no industry, and a few wineries are not counted. The air is not only clean, it is healing. The reason is the planting of eucalyptus trees. In the 19th century, the flat part of the country was drained from malaria swamps using these natural pumps. Now eucalyptus forests on the plains of all resorts saturate the air with phytoncides and play the role of natural inhalation.
The second important component of the ecological situation is clean sea and clean beaches. By the way, the beaches are sandy or with small pebbles, very comfortable. And the sea is not only clean, but also warm. The swimming season starts earlier and lasts until the end of October.
In terms of fresh water reserves, the country is among the leading on the planet. Glaciers and mountain rivers are abundant here, and you can drink from them! crystal clear water.
Nature
Another trump card of Abkhazia. There are several climatic zones here. For a small country, this is an opportunity to be in the mountains in 20-30 minutes - on alpine meadows, or on mineral springs.
The nature is amazing. Every country has beautiful places and viewing platforms from which you can admire great views. But all Abkhazia is an observation deck. Any view of the mountains or from the mountains deserves a photo. Waterfalls, colorful and all different, mountain lakes with unusually blue or turquoise water. And the most famous of them is Ritsa. White cliffs and densely forested Caucasus Mountains. Many caves, including the legendary New Athos.
There are many miraculous monuments, and nature lovers are the main tourists off the coast. Alpine skiers have recently joined them - skiing on Mamzischkhe mountain is more budgetary than on the Sochi "alpine skis".
The Black Sea coast is no less picturesque. There are no granite embankments or paved paths. The beaches are surrounded by relict pines and boxwoods. And around the villages tangerines, lemons, grapes and even avocados grow - thanks to the subtropical climate.
Budget vacation
In Abkhazia, you can find a hotel "for every budget." A double room in a hotel with conveniences, but without frills, will cost from 1200 rubles per day. A minibus taxi from the checkpoint to Sukhum will cost no more than 200 rubles. A ticket on a Moscow trolleybus costs 5 (!) Rubles, on a bus - 10.
To dine in a restaurant "to the brim", and with alcohol, comes out in the region of 700 rubles for each. There are many small cafes where you can dine for a family of three for the same money. In stores, food prices are comparable to those in Russia.
Inexpensive alcohol of any strength:
