Midsummer is a wonderful time, perfect for the most memorable trips, romantic adventures, the world's best beach relaxation. The most important thing is that in July, in search of a warm turquoise sea and the sun that gives an even tan, you don't have to go far: all European, Russian, Turkish and Egyptian seaside resorts are nearby, where there is enough space for absolutely everyone.

The easiest way is to give up to the well-known Turkey, to the already well-known resort, to your favorite hotel, where you will be fed, entertained, and given ownership of the sea and the sea. Almost the same conditions are offered by Egypt, where you can add diving in the incomparable Red Sea to swimming. Excellent entertainment awaits tourists on the Mediterranean beaches of Israel.

Those who are bothered by long flights can stay at our native resorts. To services of such tourists Crimea, Anapa, Svetlogorsk in the Kaliningrad region. The rest in Abkhazia, where in recent years the public, nostalgic for the times of the Soviet Union, has again reached out will be inexpensive.

Romantics fly to Greek Santorini in the summer, and then show off picturesque shots of white churches against the immaculate blue sea. Secular lions and lionesses spend their holidays in Italy in Sicily and Sardinia, families with children go to Bulgaria, Croatia or Montenegro.

In the summer, you can go anywhere in Europe - to your favorite city or a completely new settlement, where you haven’t been before. Discover a vacation on the lakes of Northern Italy, the shores of which are lined with resorts, villas, castles, monasteries. It will be wonderful in the summer in Nice, from where it is a stone's throw to any point of the French Riviera. For new impressions, you can go to Lithuania - there is an amazingly beautiful medieval Trakai castle, standing in the center of the lake.

July is a great month for active sports. People discover Altai, exploring it during a horse trek, dive off the coast of Croatia, master kayaking in the Bahamas, travel through the icy expanses of Greenland on dog sleds.

There are a lot of holidays in July. For example, in Finland this month gallant men arrange races with their wives at the ready, and tourists cheer for their favorite participants. Lavender is finally blooming in Provence, and this sight is worthy of the brush of the most famous painters in the world.

Take the kids who have summer vacations to Brussels or Nuremberg, where there are interesting amusement parks, or just go with them to Evpatoria, where there is sun, sea, understandable language, delicious food and the same tomboy who are ready to build sand towers all day long …

July is the time to travel and get inspired, dream and make those dreams come true!

Beach vacation at the sea in July

The most logical thing in July is to escape from stuffy cities somewhere to the sea, where flags on snow-white beautiful yachts flutter in the wind, where girls walk in vests, where toddlers with spatulas and buckets build sand castles, and tanned athletes glide along the waves on long surfing. And how nice it is to know that there is enough space on the long Mediterranean, Adriatic, Ionian, Baltic beaches for absolutely everyone.

In July, the European seas are well warmed up. Even the usually cool Baltic Sea in the middle of summer is quite suitable for swimming. It is not surprising that the public gathers on its beaches, appreciating the absence of southern heat.

Turkey and Egypt still hold the palm among the countries offering beach vacations. Israel, Italy, Cyprus, Montenegro, Greece are considered no less popular. You can go to the Portuguese coast in July. And, of course, the beaches of the Crimea and the Black Sea coast are not empty.

To the south of Antalya, which receives international flights from all over the world, including Russia, is the city of Kemer, surrounded by pine groves and protected from the mainland by the Taurus Mountains. Kemer is a popular Mediterranean resort where the sun shines tirelessly throughout the high season.

The resort area of Kemer, which stretches for 70 km, also includes the villages of Beldibi, Goynuk, Tekirova, which are also famous for their beautiful natural beaches.

In Kemer itself, the beaches are covered with pebbles. Some hotels, taking care of the convenience of their vacationers, brought sand to the coast, but the bottom of the sea near the coast still consists of small smooth pebbles.

Kemer has a couple of free public beaches separated by the Turkiz Marina. One - the Central one - is covered with small pebbles, the second, called Ayyshygy, which means "Moonlight", is soft sand.

The Mediterranean Sea in Kemer warms up perfectly and does not cool down until mid-autumn. Therefore, you can safely go here with small children.

You can fly to Turkey without a visa in your passport.

Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Black Sea coast is one continuous beach with rows of umbrellas, sun loungers and countless tourists. For the convenience of tourists, hundreds of hotels, tourist centers, boarding houses have been built near the sea.

To the north of Varna is the Bulgarian Riviera and its three wonderful resorts - Sveti Konstantin and Elena, Golden Sands and Albena. They are famous for their beaches, which are 100 meters wide. This is a fairly wide strip of the purest sand of a golden hue, which belongs entirely to visitors who yearn for the sea.

The resorts of the Bulgarian Riviera are similar to each other. Golden Sands is noisier and more cheerful; lovers of quiet and secluded relaxation prefer to settle in Albena and Sveti Constantin.

In Sveti Konstantin and Elena, the beaches are located under rocks that protect from the wind and create an intimate atmosphere. There are springs with hot healing water right on the shore. There is a church nearby, where you can look at while walking to the beach.

Guests of all three resorts will enjoy not only a luxurious beach holiday, but also many water activities. People here ride yachts and kayaks, cut the water surface on skis, frighten tourists on inflatable mattresses, and engage in snorkeling.

For holidays in the Bulgarian resorts, you will need a national visa.

Cyprus

Cyprus is a safe bet for a beach holiday. This sunny island is chosen by families with children, romantics, office workers who dream of rare moments of silence, young people who prefer to spend all nights dancing and going to bars, retirees, antiquity lovers, etc.

The most practical tourists who value their vacation time prefer to settle in those cities where there are airports. These are Larnaca and Paphos. In Larnaca, accommodation will cost a little less than in the more respectable, respectable Paphos. For those who dream of Mediterranean beaches, it is better to settle not in Larnaca itself, but in its suburbs, where comfortable hotels are built and one of the best swimming areas on the island is located. The distance between the city center and the resort sector is minimal - only 7 km, so if you wish, you can always take a walk to see local attractions.

In 40 minutes from Larnaca, you can get to Ayia Napa, where young people from all over Europe gather for parties. European slickers prefer to spend their days on the local sandy beaches marked with Blue flags.

Paphos is lined with chic hotels and trendy restaurants, where you can leave hundreds of euros overnight. More democratic parties are held in the Lower Town. Local beaches are also very well-groomed, clean and comfortable.

A visa is required to visit Cyprus.

Croatia

The most famous resort of Croatian Dalmatia, located in the central part of the coast, is called Zadar. It is a medieval city that emerged from the remains of a Roman colony. Nowadays Zadar is a popular resort, which, in addition to wonderful beaches, is accompanied by historical sights (Roman Forum, Romanesque temples), interesting museums (Archaeological and National) and modern fun. The latter include the Greeting to the Sun light show fixture and the organ designed by the architect Nikola Bašić on the Singing Wharf.

Most tourists arriving in Zadar during the summer are still most interested in the Adriatic Sea and all the benefits that it gives to people. Off the coast of Zadar, the sea is exceptionally clear and transparent, therefore it is suitable for underwater photography.

Kolovare is considered the best beach in the city. It has mainly a pebble cover, which in some places is replaced by a sandy one. Tourists are also delighted with Uskok Beach.

The sandy beach, also marked with the Blue Flag, should be found 13 km from Zadar. It is called Zaton and is included in all ratings of the best Croatian beaches. People here not only sunbathe and relax on sun loungers, but also play tennis, mini golf, volleyball and table tennis.

To travel to Croatia, you need to obtain a national visa of this country.

Abkhazia

Not far from the border with Russia is one of the most famous resorts of subtropical Abkhazia - the city of Gagra, which stretches for 60 km along the Black Sea. From the east and north, the resort is protected by mountains that prevent the penetration of cold air, so the climate in Gagra is very pleasant, and the sea temperature is several degrees higher than that of neighboring resorts.

The beaches of Gagra are mostly paid, as they are divided between coastal resorts and recreation centers. For the guests of these bases, staying on the beach will not cost a penny. For those who came to Gagra and settled, for example, in the private sector, visiting the beaches will cost a certain, albeit not very large amount.

Gagra is divided into old and new parts. The best beach in the Old Town is considered to be a stretch of coastline belonging to the Solnechny sanatorium. This beach is covered with pebbles mixed with sand. To services of tourists - all beach equipment and rental offices of catamarans and bananas. There are also “wild”, free beaches in the old part, where there are no sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, which does not at all upset the many vacationers who sit by the water on their own blankets.

Wonderful beaches with good infrastructure can be found in the new city. For the convenience of tourists, there are beach bars and cafes, as well as whole towns of water entertainment. The beach, which is adjacent to the Energetik boarding house, gets good reviews.

Russians can travel to Abkhazia without first obtaining a visa.

Latvia

A 25-minute train ride from Riga is the Baltic resort of Jurmala, which thundered during the Soviet Union and has not lost its charm even now. Many Russian celebrities have got their dachas here and spend the whole summer in the fresh air by the sea.

Jurmala is a hybrid of an ordinary Russian holiday village with some European seaside resort like Trouville. It stretches along the coast and consists of several districts whose names sound like a song: Dzintari, Majori, Dubulti, etc. All districts are built up with wooden houses of different shapes and colors. Some resemble Russian chalets, others resemble English villas, and still others are old American mansions. Everyone is worthy to be captured as a keepsake on a smartphone or camera. Wide beaches stretch along the entire town, hidden behind pine groves, so it is especially pleasant to breathe in Jurmala.

The North Baltic Sea warms up well by July. There will be no heat here, as in the southern European resorts, so a vacation in Jurmala is suitable for family tourists with small children. Local beaches are covered with clean golden sand, pleasant for children's feet. The sand in Jurmala is always cool, the sun is gentle and pleasant, and the sea is clean and transparent.

A trip to Jurmala is possible only if your passport has a Schengen visa.

Montenegro

The center of the Bar Riviera, one of the most famous resorts in Montenegro, the city of Bar is located on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. It is famous for the fact that the sun brightens the sky here for about 270 days a year, which is a guarantee of an excellent beach holiday in the summer months.

The city of Bar is divided into two parts - old and new. All hotels, restaurants, shops interesting to tourists are located in the new city. Historical landmarks are to be found in the old.

The bar is popular with tourists, not least because accommodation here will cost an order of magnitude lower than, for example, in Budva. For visitors, several large hotels and many mini-hotels have been built here - cozy, homely, comfortable. You can also stay in private apartments, especially if you are traveling in a large company.

The beaches in Bar are located along the promenade. They are distinguished by a gentle descent into the water, a cover of the purest sand and small pebbles and the presence of the infrastructure necessary for an excellent rest. There are restaurants and cafes just a stone's throw from the surf's edge, where you can have a snack in between sunbathing.

Divers will also like Bar, because several historic ships are sunk here near the coast.

Russians do not need a visa to Montenegro.

Anapa, Krasnodar Territory

The famous Black Sea resort, the well-known children's health resort, Anapa is known for its mild climate, sandy beaches, while in other southern Russian resorts the coast is covered with pebbles, and the ability to get to another sea - the Azov Sea - in an hour.

Local beaches stretch along the sea for 49 km. They are covered with unique quartz sand, which has a beneficial effect on the human body. There are also small pebble beaches in Anapa, but this is rather an exception for this resort than the rule.

The sand on the beaches of Anapa has a different shade due to the admixture of various substances. Here you can find sections of the coast with greenish or reddish sand, which delights tourists.

The city beaches occupy the shores of two bays formed by rocky promontories protruding into the sea. The best pebble beaches of the city are Kordon on the Upper embankment and Malaya Bay on Tamanskaya. The sandy beaches of Santa Fe and Central are very popular with tourists.

Alushta, Crimea

Image
Image

In July, the Crimean peninsula resembles an anthill. Every tourist rushes to the South Coast, where the most famous local resort areas are located - Big Yalta and Big Alushta.

The length of the coastline of the Bolshaya Alushta resort is about 80 km. This area is limited by the resorts Partenit and Privetnoye. Alushta is protected from the cold north wind by high mountains, so the high season here officially lasts from June to mid-October, and the first tourists who love sea bathing appear here in May.

Alushta offers its guests pebble and sandy beaches. Most of the people gather on the city beach, located right in the center, near the local embankment. It is covered with fine smooth pebbles. It is here that the beating of the resort pulse is felt: there are stalls with sweets and souvenirs a stone's throw from the sea, children's attractions work, sun loungers and water equipment rental offices are open.

The beach itself is quite adapted for a comfortable stay: there are showers and toilets, a lifeguard station. The sea in Alushta is quite deep - you can't reach the bottom with your feet just a few meters from the shore.

In search of beaches with quartz sand, which is considered very healthy, you should go to the area of the Professor's Corner.

Consider other Crimean coasts for relaxation. The western one with Evpatoria and Saki is suitable for holidays with children, the northeastern one, washed by the Sea of Azov, will appeal to lovers of solitude and silence.

Spain

Sunny Spain in summer offers too many temptations. The main one is located on the Costa del Sol. This glorious resort of Marbella is perhaps the best place to live your life on the stretch of coastline between Malaga and Gibraltar.

For the whole world, this Andalusian resort was opened in the 1950s by the English nobility and sheikhs from Saudi Arabia. Since then, Marbella has become a little simpler: next to fashionable hotel complexes, three-star hotels for ordinary tourists have appeared. But the rich still consider this place theirs, as evidenced by the sheer number of expensive sports cars on the streets and ocean yachts in the local marina.

The city has preserved the typical Andalusian historical center with the obligatory castle and lovely houses decorated with flower pots. But the main treasure of Marbella, according to all visitors, is its beaches El Fuerte and La Fontanilla, where golden sand is not sifted through a sieve in the evenings, it is so clean.

A little further from the center, there are also places suitable for swimming - less crowded, which is highly valued by some vacationers.

Remember that Spaniards at the border will require a Schengen visa.

Italy

Italy, like any country focused on beach lovers, has at its disposal both democratic resorts accessible to absolutely everyone and more elite, fashionable recreation areas. The latter can rightfully be attributed to the island of Sardinia, where the powerful of this world - politicians, movie stars, businessmen - are frequent guests. Silvio Berlusconi, for example, has 6 villas here at once.

Sardinia, in comparison with neighboring Sicily, is famous for its milder pleasant climate. Local beaches with a total length of 1,850 km are a miracle that must be seen with your own eyes.

In any rating of the best beaches in the world, there will be a mention of the beaches of Bideros, located on the territory of the reserve on the shores of five coves in the Gulf of Orosei. The sand here is silver in color. In order not to harm the surrounding nature, only 130 cars are allowed here every day. It is said that the queues for visiting the beaches and the Bideros Natural Park are made several months in advance.

Cala Mariolu beach is covered with white pebbles, which, when exposed to sunlight, change their color to pink. In the sea, these stones resemble gems. Cala Mariolu beach is especially appreciated by tourists with children: near the coast there is a rather shallow sea, which is ideal for the little ones.

Cala Goloritze Beach, with its quaint cliffs, is one of the most photographed places on the island. This stretch of coastline is popular with divers.

You need a Schengen visa.

Greece

Greece owns approximately 1,400 islands, many of which were turned into resort areas a long time ago. These include the Cyclades - an archipelago, the main pearl of which is the island of Santorini. His images do not leave the pages of glossy magazines, calendars, advertising albums. Houses with whitewashed walls reflecting the sun's rays, tops of churches painted with blue paint, dark rocks, seagulls soaring above all this splendor, turquoise of the sea is a real fairy tale.

Santorini is an extinct volcano. Approximately 3, 5 thousand years ago, a terrifying eruption took place here, which destroyed the center of the island. Now Santorini looks more like a torn bagel that enterprising Greeks have turned into the most romantic place on Earth. For tourists, hotels, villas with jacuzzis, restaurants with terraces above the cliff have been erected here, from which it is so pleasant to watch the sunset. Accommodation is offered either in the main town of the island of Thire or in the charming village of Oia.

The best beaches in Santorini are located in the south of the island. They have a sandy cover of different colors - the result of the work of the volcano. The most beautiful black beaches of the island are called Perissa and Perivolos, the red beach is called Akrotiri and the white beach is Aspri Paralia.

Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad region

Image
Image

Svetlogorsk, where all Kaliningrad goes to swim in the Baltic Sea in summer, cannot boast of spacious beaches. Over the past 100 years, the beach, about 70 meters wide, has almost completely disappeared. Many tourists even say that there is no beach in Svetlogorsk. This, of course, is not so: under the embankment there is a strip of sand, where beach lovers are accommodated.

Much wider and more comfortable beaches are located in the nearest villages to Svetlogorsk. In Pionerskoye you can find a sandy and pebble beach equipped with changing rooms, showers, lifeguard station and free sun loungers. There are always a lot of people on this beach in July. It is ideal for young children, as the sea near the shore resembles a paddling pool.

In Otradnoye, the beach, consisting mainly of sand, is considered practically "wild". There are no special benefits of civilization here. There are stones in the water, the descent to the sea is steep, so families with children do not come here. But there are plenty of other vacationers in Otradnoye.

You can settle in one of the local sanatoriums. There are several mud baths on the territory of the city, so trips to the beach can be alternated with various wellness procedures.

Buses and trains run from Kaliningrad to Svetlogorsk.

Israel

Arriving in Israel in the summer, do not miss the opportunity to relax on the Mediterranean beaches, of which there are a lot. One of the most famous Israeli resorts is Haifa, which attracts a wide variety of audiences: solid uncles with thick wallets, young students having fun on their vacations, and cheerful surfers.

There are a lot of good beaches in Haifa. Here are just a few:

  • Dado beach, located in the central part of the city. On the residential side, it is bounded by a beautiful promenade with picturesque gardens, cozy bars, trendy restaurants and a dance floor. The beach even has Wi-Fi. There is a picnic area in the southern sector of the beach;
  • Dor Habonim beach, which is located south of Haifa in a natural park. It occupies the coast of a cozy bay. There are rarely high waves here, so the beach is especially loved by families with children. Nearby is the Paradive Dive Club, with experienced instructors teaching the art of scuba diving;
  • Bat Galim beach. To find this beach, you do not need to travel outside Haifa, it is within walking distance from the city center. The southern end of the beach is a favorite meeting place for all surfers. The rest of the meters by the sea were occupied by ordinary vacationers. There is an interesting attraction for children - a wooden model of a pirate brigantine.

For Russians, a visa to Israel is not required.

Portugal

The south of Portugal is occupied by the Algarve province, washed by the Atlantic Ocean. Its resorts stretch for 150 km from the border with Spain and to the town of Lagos. The coast near the eastern resort of Monte Gordo is sandy, with a gentle slope into the water. Western resorts are famous for rocky, very picturesque beaches on the shores of secluded coves.

Just 30 km from the provincial capital of Faro, where the international airport is located, is the resort of Albufeira. In July, the air here warms up to 28-30 degrees, and the water near the coast - up to 22 degrees.

Once in Albufeira, you should definitely visit all of its beaches in order to choose the best one and not change it until the end of the vacation. And there are enough excellent beaches here:

  • Peneku beach, which is located near the old quarters of the city. It has a sandy surface and a very original access. To get to the coast, you need to go through a corridor between high rocks. On the Peneku beach you will find everything for a wonderful holiday: showers, drinking fountains, sun lounger rental;
  • Barkush beach. This is also a central sandy beach that looks more like a fishing pier. Albufeira used to be a simple fishing town, and the locals are not going to change their ancestors' activities to please tourists. Therefore, the Barkush beach is filled with various fishing boats, which look very picturesque against the backdrop of the blue ocean. With the owners of these boats, you can agree on fishing or sea excursions;
  • Inatel beach, bounded by rocks. Comfortable, cozy and sheltered from the winds.

If you like to travel on your own, then try to combine a vacation in Andalusia on the Costa del Sol with a week in the Algarve. From Malaga to the Algarve, to Faro, planes fly every day. Travel time - half an hour on the strength. The cost of the flight is about 20-30 euros.

Schengen required.

Egypt

Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada are the most famous Egyptian beach resorts with loyal fans who return to their favorite place every year and bring friends and relatives.

Hurghada is a resort for sissies who value a clean sea free from sharp corals near the coast, which eliminates the need to enter the water in rubber slippers. There are coral reefs here too, but they are located far from the coast.

In Hurghada there are beaches for every taste: those that belong to large hotel complexes and are not allowed on the territory of "outsiders", private, where you can enter for a small fee, and municipal free.

Dream Beach at Elysees Hotel is considered one of the best beaches in Hurghada. Not only Elysees guests can relax on this beach, but also tourists from neighboring hotels. The entrance to the beach is paid, but you are allowed to use all the local amenities - sun loungers, sports grounds, attractions. The beach has a bar and spa.

Another great beach is called Paradise Beach. This free public beach is located in the Arabia area. It is long and wide, filled with numerous sun loungers, which occupy from the very morning in the summer. There is a playground for children, and for those who like active entertainment on the water, there are rental points for the necessary equipment.

A visa is not needed for our compatriots.

Where to go to Europe in July

If possible, in the summer you need to go to the sea or any other body of water. Even if you don’t like to just lie on the beach, but prefer an excursion, educational vacation, the proximity of the sea will bring coolness, give strength, and contribute to the health of the body.

In Europe there are places tested by time and by other tourists, intended for trips in July. This is the good old French Riviera and its star Nice, the lakes of Italy and Austria, where absolutely any tourist can find something to do, the beautiful Trakai Castle, located in the middle of Lake Galve, Dresden on the Elbe River.

Nice

Image
Image

The famous French Riviera in July is the best place in all of France. Firstly, there are beaches nearby for every taste, and secondly, you can ride public transport from city to city, each of which is known for its postcard views and deserves to be visited at least once in your life.

Among all the pearls of the Cote d'Azur, the main one is the beauty of Nice, which was turned into the best resort on the French coast in the 19th century by the nobles from England and Russia. Nice is located on the shores of the Bay of Angels. The strip along the sea was cultivated a long time ago. There are pebble beaches, the famous Promenade des Anglais, where it is customary to walk, enjoying the sea breeze, and the embankment of the United States.

To get to Old Nice, you need to go to the eastern part of the city. Here you should carefully study the goods at the flower market, lazily sip coffee in one of the street cafes, climb the Castle Hill, from where a magnificent panorama of the coast opens.

Choosing Nice for rest, do not forget about its good location. From here it is a stone's throw to Italy and to the island of Corsica, where ferries run.

Dresden

The favorite city of the monarch Frederick Augustus I, Dresden was long considered one of the most beautiful settlements in Europe until it was almost wiped off the face of the Earth during the battles of World War II. Its reconstruction proceeded slowly and was finally completed only some 10-15 years ago.

But now we can again see the favorite promenade of townspeople and guests of the city - the Elbe embankment, over which the cathedral, the palace of the former rulers of Saxony and the terrace planted with figured trees - the so-called Balcony of Europe - rise. This place, which now serves as an observation deck, used to belong to the minister, Count Heinrich von Buhl, who made it something of a salon, where aristocrats could chat over a cup of coffee.

There is a gallery a stone's throw from the Elbe, for the sake of which many tourists come to Dresden. The originals of Rembrandt, Vermeer, Giorgione, Rubens and other equally famous artists are kept here. Raphael's "Sistine Madonna" is also exhibited here.

Take care of obtaining a Schengen visa.

Lithuania

If you decide to spend your vacation in one of the Baltic capitals, then choose Vilnius. Spend a few days exploring the city and then take a tour of the surrounding area.

A minibus will take you in 30 minutes to the town of Trakai, famous for its Island Castle, built by Prince Gediminas (the one who, according to legend, sleeps under one of the Vilnius hills) in the 14th century for protection from the crusaders. An earthen embankment from the "mainland" leads to this powerful fortification with several round towers with hipped roofs. Tourists are allowed into the castle. There is now a historical museum. Travelers are happy to climb the ladders, walk along the covered terraces, look into every room where weapons, dishes, and antique interior items are exhibited.

On the way from the station to the castle, you can also find a lot of interesting things - a church and an Orthodox church, a peninsular castle, a Karaite museum.

It is also easy to get from Vilnius by bus to Kaunas, where there is also an old medieval castle, churches and museums, among which the Museum of Devils and the Museum of Alcohol stand out. The city is very pleasant to walk. You can spend a whole day here and then dream of coming back here.

A Schengen visa is required to visit Lithuania.

Italy

There are many lakes in Northern Italy - and they are all well-known: Como, Garda, Maggiore. It is imperative to ride them in the summer, when you can get to any attraction on the opposite bank by pleasure boats.

The deepest lake of all the Italian Alpine lakes is Maggiore. In high season, thermometers on its shore show 22-28 degrees Celsius. The water is quite cool for swimming even in summer, so it's time to see all the local attractions:

  • the town of Stresa, with its baroque villas and luxurious gardens, overlooking the waterfront;
  • two islands of the noblemen of Borromeo - Bella and Madre, separated from Stresa by a strip of water 400 meters wide. These islands are still owned by Messrs. Borromeo. On Bella is their palace, built in the first half of the 17th century, on Madre - a chic botanical garden and an English-style park;
  • the island of Pescatori, in which Ernest Hemingway doted. Here you can walk in a fishing village, dine with seafood delicacies in a few taverns, for example, in “Casabella”;
  • the monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso, as if hovering over the lake. It was built on sheer cliffs right above the water in the 12th century. Frescoes from the 14th century have been preserved in its church.

To travel to Italy, get a Schengen visa in advance.

Austria

Austrians view their lakes as an inland sea. This means that people actively swim in them, since there are all conditions for this - clean and transparent water, cozy bays, wooden piers, towns with hotels and restaurants.

Do you want a holiday in the style of European aristocrats? Then go, for example, to Carinthia, to Lake Wörthersee, the shores of which are built up with 19th century villas, now converted into luxury restaurants and hotels. To be convinced of this, take a look at the Bulfon and Miralago villas.

You can stay in Klagenfurt, the main city of the province of Carinthia, which at the same time resembles both Austrian and Italian cities. The Italian atmosphere can be easily explained: after a fire about four centuries ago, the city was rebuilt by craftsmen from a neighboring country. Excursion holidays abroad

When the soul asks for exotic, do not refuse it. July is the time to discover Africa - don't worry, Ethiopia, although located almost at the equator, will have quite pleasant weather for walking. And if you want coolness in the hot summer, then go to distant Australia, steeped in legends and so mythological that you can only figure out where the truth is in these stories and where the lies are on the spot. By the way, in winter Australia (and there, in July, just January) there are places for a beach holiday.

Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a country for those who, as a child, dreamed of a real exotic Black Continent, not spoiled by five-star hotel complexes for wealthy Europeans and jeeps for group safari. This is a real quiet and calm Africa, relatively safe and not yet open.

The capital of Ethiopia is the city of Addis Ababa, which is translated from the language of the local aborigines as "New Flower". A city with that name could only be founded by a woman. This happened at the end of the 19th century, when Empress Taitu chose a wonderful place for the future city. They began to build it at an altitude of 2400 meters, in a hollow surrounded by mountains covered with greenery, where malaria never occurs. Here the air temperature rarely rises above the comfortable 28-30 degrees.

Addis Ababa is a chaotic city, where the pretty villas of the wealthy locals sit side by side with the huts of the poor. Tourists will be interested in the singing fountains in the Sheraton Hotel, authentic restaurants where meals are accompanied by dances to Ethiopian motives, markets that spontaneously appear on any square, a botanical garden.

Ethiopia is one of the countries where the rest will cost a penny. A room in a pretty decent hotel will cost about $ 15 here, a full meal in a restaurant - $ 5-6 (and such prices are set in European restaurants, pay half as much in Ethiopian cafes). Ethiopia's currency is called the Ethiopian birr.

Russian tourists get a visa to Ethiopia when crossing the border.

Australia

Australia, from the point of view of our compatriot, is a very strange continent. When we have summer, winter is in full swing, however, some kind of very pleasant, without freezing temperatures. Therefore, it is better to go there in July, so as not to melt from the heat. Another oddity is that the tropics in Australia are located in the north of the continent, and all the locals go to rest there.

You, too, can head to North Queensland with its endless beaches and stunning waters for swimming and a variety of sports. But, most likely, you will want to see the south and southeast of Australia, where Melbourne and Sydney are located.

In Melbourne, which is called the cultural capital of the country, it is worth climbing the Eureka Tower, where at the 88th floor there is not only an excellent observation deck, but also a terrible attraction - a completely glass cube hanging over an abyss, into which not every tourist decides to enter.

In Sydney, which appeared on the shore of the harbor, where Captain Cook landed at one time, you need to walk along the embankment, admiring the bizarre building of the Opera House (and, if you wish, go to a performance at the local Opera), climb the Harbor Bridge - the best observation deck in the city, walking on the grass in the Royal Botanic Gardens, sailing along the coves of Sydney.

Australia is literally at the edge of the world. You will have to fly there with at least one change. It can be done in the Emirates, Singapore or Hong Kong. Many tourists prefer to stay at the transit point for a couple of days' rest.

Russians will need a visa to travel to Australia. It is issued within 5-20 working days.

Holidays with children in July

How to make the trip enjoyable for both children and their parents? You need to choose the right route. Include a visit to an amusement park or an interesting museum in your trip - and kids will remember your joint voyage with delight for a long time. Similar places, interesting for children of different ages, can be found in different parts of Europe. For example, there are some in Belgium and Germany, where we suggest you go in July.

Do you think that children need to be taken out to the sea? There are resorts where a lot of entertainment is provided for kids. These include Evpatoria and Estonian Pärnu. Finally, if you want something exotic, then consider a trip to Cape Town.

Belgium

Since 1989, on the outskirts of Brussels, the Mini-Europe park has been operating, which contains 350 models of European attractions, built on a scale of 1:25. Most of them were made of plastic, but some copies of historical monuments are made of stone, such as the French castle of Chenonceau.

Many layouts are interactive. Vesuvius periodically erupts. A fire breaks out in the port of Barcelona, which arrives to extinguish miniature fire engines. A funicular runs to Montmartre. There is a ferry between Dover and France. A pond with live fish is arranged near the model of Copenhagen's embankment. They are the same size as the yachts docked.

There are always many visitors around the replica of the main square of Brussels, which is lined with a "flower" carpet. It takes only a few days in August to see a real square, decorated with armfuls of begonias, and in the Mini-Europe park the Grote Markt is decorated with flowers all summer long.

Once in Brussels, do not miss the opportunity to take a high-speed elevator to the attraction closest to the Mini-Europe park - a model of an iron molecule, the so-called Atomium. There is an observation deck at the top.

To travel to Belgium you need a Schengen.

Germany

If you want to make your children happy, go to Nuremberg, from where there are buses to the town of Zirndorf, famous for its Playmobil amusement park. This amusement park is dedicated to the designers of the company of the same name.

Children entering the Playmobile Park begin to squeak with delight only when they see a knight's castle - almost the same as a toy castle, but enlarged many times over, on which you can climb as much as you like, and its walls are made in the form of a climbing wall.

To get on board a pirate ship, where a big feast is taking place in the hold, you need to cross a thin bridge thrown across a real river. In the Wild West zone, the kids go straight to the farm, which contains toy cows that can be milked. True, they do not give milk, but water, but the children do not care at all.

After running around the Playmobile Park, each child will end up in the play area, where you can relax and do the most interesting thing - a game of constructors!

It is necessary to obtain a Schengen visa in advance.

South Africa

Cape Town is a great place to travel with children. There are hotels with children's clubs, where kids are taught to draw patterns on ostrich eggs and move like dancers from African tribes. Local restaurants located by the ocean offer European cuisine.

With children in Cape Town, you can:

  • stroll along the promenade to Saunders Rocks beach. There are bike rentals in the city, where there are also children's models. Invite your child to ride with the breeze along the sea;
  • fly kites and play in the playgrounds located just behind the embankment;
  • ride a double-decker tourist bus that passes by all the main local monuments. One of the bus stops will be at the lower station of the cable car that goes up to Table Mountain;
  • go to the “Two Oceans Aquarium”, where the kids' favorites are the amusing crested penguins, and the older kids are the sharks, devoid of sharp teeth, with which they are allowed to swim.

A visa to South Africa is not required for tourists from our country.

Evpatoria

The best children's resort in Crimea is undoubtedly Evpatoria. Here is the shallowest and warmest sea on the peninsula, there are no winds and storms, there are sandy beaches with a gentle descent into the water.

The embankment and Frunze street are the center of the resort life. It is here that attracts all the kids like a magnet. There are small automatic swings in the shape of horses, zebras and other animals. In the neighborhood you can find trampolines and inflatable slides, carousels work nearby, and a children's train rides. From Frunze Street you can get to the amusement park, where there is an autodrome and interesting attractions.

In Evpatoria, you should set aside time to visit the local dolphinarium or go to Lake Donuzlav, where you can swim in the company of friendly dolphins.

Children will also like the Evpatoria parks - Fairytale, where the main fun is the search for sculptures of magical characters, and Dinopark, where models of different dinosaurs are collected.

Tasting sparkling wine in the northern provinces of Italy, building a route from a winery to a wine cellar in another charming town on the way, is so aristocratic and exquisite. And you can finally feel like a representative of high society by going to the high-mountainous Darjeeling, where the second harvest of tea is being harvested in July. Previously, only the British colonialists who knew a lot about tea traveled along this route, now tourists go to the most European city in India to try a drink that some consider the best in the world.

India

Darjeeling appeared in the 19th century in the foothills of the Himalayas as a climatic resort. This city was built by the British, who missed the usual weather conditions in hot India. They found London fogs and cool nights, when the indoor temperature drops to 15 degrees, high in the mountains. Tea plantations were planted in the vicinity of the city, which unexpectedly began to yield three harvests a year. The second harvest of Darjeeling tea is harvested here by July. The second collection has a tart rich taste. It is marked with the inscription "2nd Flush".

According to the rules, milk should not be added to Darjeeling tea, so as not to interrupt its exquisite taste. A mixture of this tea is made locally, consisting of leaves of different fermentation, which provides the drink with a light golden hue.

For tea by weight, you should go to the Chowk Bazar market, where you can find many different tea collections and blends. Traders advise to choose tea by smell. Rub the leaves in your hand and take the ones that smell best. Better yet, try to find the freshest second collection, it will be the most delicious.

It is better to try tea on the main street of Darjeeling called the Mall. Check out the Tea House Cafe, where Assam teas can also be found on the menu. On the tables are advertisements listing all 87 local plantations.

You can get to Darjeeling, hidden high in the mountains, by an old train that starts from the station of the city of Siliguri. The road to Darjeeling takes 8 hours.

A national visa is required to visit India. It is issued for 3 months.

Italy

An excellent Italian sparkling low-alcohol drink is produced in the cool northern provinces - Piedmont, Lombardy and Trentino, where the climate resembles French Champagne, and where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties feel wonderful - the best raw materials for the production of champagne. You can taste wines made from these grapes at the "Gancia" factory in the town of Canelli, where tastings for tourists are held.

Light asti with hints of fruit is produced, for example, at the Mondoro winery in the same Canelli. In addition to wine, all visitors are offered to taste the juice, the so-called must, which later, after fermentation, will turn into asti.

Sparkling wines Trentino began to produce about a hundred years ago, the legend of these places, Giulio Ferrari. His descendants still run the Cantine Ferrari winery located in Ravino near Trento. They are always glad to tourists who appreciate the delicate taste of local wine.

On the site outside Bergamo, grapes are grown for the production of the Italian champagne franciacorta. Visit Erbusco with its Ca'del Bosco winery, which produces elite wines that will please even the most sophisticated gourmet.

Take care of obtaining a Schengen visa in advance.

Where to relax in Russia

In the middle of summer, unfold the map of Russia in front of you and congratulate yourself: you can go anywhere in our Motherland, because everywhere it will be relatively warm, good and pleasant.

July is the best time to explore the natural beauty of Komi and Kamchatka. It is in July that summer in St. Petersburg and its environs finally remembers that it is time to provide local residents and guests of the city with warmer weather, suitable for long walks in the fresh air, than in June.

For those who do not want to travel far from the capital, we also recommend considering Vologda for recreation - an ancient city with many attractions. Finally, you can plan a trip to Tatarstan, where it is customary to admire the Kazan Kremlin, try echpochmaks in local cafes and pick up Tatar souvenirs for friends in the markets.

Tatarstan

One should start acquaintance with Tatarstan from its capital Kazan. This city is located 800 km from Moscow, which can be overcome by plane, train and even a boat.

In Kazan, everyone first goes to the Kremlin, dominated by the Kul-Sharif mosque restored in 2005. In its shadow are several Orthodox churches built four centuries ago. The mosque itself houses a museum of Islamic culture.

On Bauman Street, tourists stop in front of the Epiphany Cathedral - once the tallest building in Kazan, then follow to the leaning tower built by Ivan the Terrible for the local princess, who did not want a love relationship with the king and chose to commit suicide by throwing herself down from the tower.

In the tourist center Tugar Avalym on Lukovskogo street, you can take part in the kalyapush holiday, and in one of the Kazan restaurants (for example, the House of Tatar Cookery or Volga) you can sign up for a master class on cooking Tatar cuisine.

A river tram will take you to the island city of Sviyazhsk, where a church from the mid-16th century has been preserved, which Ivan the Terrible visited more than once.

You can also go to the village of Old Arakchino near Kazan, where there is a complex called the Temple of All Religions and consisting of several sanctuaries of different confessions.

Manpupuner, Komi

Northern Urals, Komi Republic - the place where one of the seven wonders of Russia is located - the Manpupuner rocks, sacred to the Komi and Mansi peoples. The point from where you can get to Manpupuner on foot or by air, by helicopter is the town of Troitsko-Pechorsk, which was once the extreme point of the routes of ships plying in Pechora. The city still has ancient Komi houses.

Seven pillars of Manpupuner rise on a green lawn in the foothills of the Urals, on the territory of the Pechora-Ilychsky nature reserve. They resemble stone giants, over whom the wind and rain have worked hard.

You can stay in the reserve for a while. Tourists are accommodated in hunting lodges and are offered a lot of entertainment. You can walk along specially designed walking paths, raft along the Volosnitsa River, visit the Bear Cave, where primitive hunters used to live. It still contains the bones of prehistoric animals. In the vicinity of the cave, there are deposits of silicon, where primitive people took material for arrowheads.

People travel to Troitsko-Pechorsk by car from Syktyvkar, the capital of Komi. You can get to Syktyvkar from Moscow by plane.

Suburbs of St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg is beautiful, you can spend a month walking around it - and it will not be enough. But most tourists, once in the northern capital, rush to its suburbs in a few days. And this is completely logical - green parks, majestic fountains and gilded palaces are especially picturesque in summer.

There are a lot of places where you can go from St. Petersburg by minibus or train. The most beautiful suburbs include:

  • Pavlovsk. This is a wonderful landscape park with an area of 600 hectares and the favorite palace of Emperor Pavel Petrovich, where tourists are allowed;
  • Tsarskoe Selo with the recreated Catherine Palace, in which you must see the spacious Throne Room, decorated with high mirrors, and the Amber Room, which was made from scratch in 2003;
  • Gatchina is the least promoted suburb of St. Petersburg with a former imperial residence, damaged during the Great Patriotic War and rebuilt in 1985, and four landscape, "semi-wild" parks;
  • Peterhof. The fountains of the Lower Park of Peterhof are known all over the world. This is, indeed, a luxurious complex that must be seen with your own eyes at least once in your life.

Kamchatka

Kamchatka is a unique land of volcanoes, geysers and brown bears. Of greatest interest in Kamchatka is the Kronotsky Natural Park, where tourists come to observe wildlife. In the midst of the tundra and lava fields, there is a large population of large, weighing 700 kg brown bears. Bears are not afraid of helicopters and come very close to people, allowing them to take beautiful photos. True, volunteers warn tourists not to approach forest predators and not to walk alone.

In addition to bears, in the reserve you can find a sable, which was bred here until 1934, a reindeer, an eared seal and some other representatives of the local fauna.

It is on the territory of the natural park that the famous Valley of Geysers is located, which was almost buried by the mudflow that descended in 2007. But the geysers made their way through the mud streams and once again delight tourists.

Not far from the Valley of Geysers, you can find the extinct volcano Uzon, into the caldera of which you can descend.

Vologda

Vologda, a northern city with a rich history, is a recognized tourist center. You can come here for a weekend or for a week to slowly explore all the local monuments, relax on the beach, arranged on the Vologda river, go to the entertainment complex "Y. E. S." under the city.

Tsar Ivan the Terrible was very fond of Vologda at one time. He built the Kremlin here, where he wanted to move with the entire courtyard, and allocated funds for the construction of the St. Sophia Cathedral. But one day, even before the construction of the latter was completed, under the vault of the cathedral, some building materials fell on the king from above. Ivan the Terrible got scared and canceled his decision to move to Vologda. The Kremlin is no longer there, but the St. Sophia Cathedral is still there.

On the site where the Kremlin used to be, nowadays there is the Bishops' Court, turned into a museum-reserve. The Resurrection Cathedral is located nearby. The Church of St. John Chrysostom rises across the river. In general, in Vologda you just need to walk along the streets, marveling at the carved facades of houses, of which there are a lot.

Cruises

In July, when the rivers of Europe are open for navigation, you can go on a river cruise. The easiest way to do this is to choose a waterway, which is located in our country. If you have never walked along the Northern Dvina, then it's time to plan such a trip from Arkhangelsk.

Any sea cruise will also be successful. In the middle of summer, we suggest going to the Sea of Japan. Cruise ships usually call at the ports of several eastern countries at once, which is especially appreciated by curious tourists.

Along the Northern Dvina

The 120 km route along the Serennaya Dvina, which begins and ends in Arkhangelsk, tourists are offered to overcome on an old motor ship, outwardly similar to those that ply the Mississippi in the 19th century. At the level of comfort, the considerable age of the vessel was not reflected in any way.

The cruise price includes a bus tour from Arkhangelsk to Severodvinsk on the White Sea, where you can swim at this time of the year, which is what all the townspeople do with pleasure. The beaches are located on the Yagry island, which was a busy port during the time of Ivan the Terrible. Ships came here from England, and some of the goods were expropriated in favor of the crown.

A little away from the beach, submarines now and then surface, to which everyone is already accustomed.

During the cruise, the ship will stop at the Malye Korely reserve, where ancient wooden buildings from all over the area are collected. Residential huts, churches, barns are located on the territory of 140 hectares.

The cruise ship will make a stop at the village of Kholmogory, from where it began its journey to the capital of Lomonosov. Another point of the route is the village of Brin-Navolok, famous for its Anthony-Siysk monastery, dated to the first half of the 16th century.

Sea of Japan

Several proven and popular routes have been developed along the Sea of Japan. You can choose a cruise only to the Japanese islands, but most tourists prefer the option of a sea trip with a visit to three countries at once - Japan, South Korea and China.

This cruise starts from Tokyo and lasts 11 days. In Japan, tourists, in addition to the country's capital, have the opportunity to see Osaka with an old castle, several temples and the Universal Studios Japan amusement park and Nagasaki, which is considered one of the most picturesque Japanese ports.

Further, the motor ships dock in the South Korean Busan, where you should definitely parade along the Gwangalli embankment, going to your favorite restaurants, see the Gwanandege Bridge and walk along Yondo Island, where the observatory and the amusement park are located.

The next stop of the cruise ship will be in Beijing, where tourists can stay for 4 days to take their time to explore all the local attractions. The journey ends in Shanghai, from where you can fly home.

Appropriate visas are required to visit all of the listed countries.

Safari in Africa

In July, you need to go to Africa, where dry, sunny days are set, which are replaced by clear, cool nights. In the middle of summer, wildebeest migration begins in East Africa, which can be observed in natural parks, for example, Kenya. You can also head to the rainforests of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to see colonies of mountain gorillas, a rare species of monkeys.

Kenya

Kenya's Masai Mara Park is famous for its grandiose wildebeest migration in the middle of summer. Animals come here from the neighboring Tanzanian Serengeti Natural Park. No one will be able to name the exact date of the beginning of the movement of herds of antelopes - it will depend on the period of rains.

It is also worth going to Masai Mara in July because the peak of migration occurs in August, so in the second month of summer you can expect some lull on the part of tourists. Those who want to see one hundred percent of the antelopes will come in August. In the meantime, in the park, you can witness how cheetahs return to the plains to hunt wildebeest babies, and elephants move in search of new acacia groves.

The air temperature in this month of the year averages 25 degrees. It almost never rains in July, so nothing will prevent you from enjoying the wildlife.

Don't forget to get your visa to Kenya before traveling.

DR Congo

If you are planning to visit the rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, then there is no better time than July. In the middle of summer, the most comfortable climatic conditions for hiking through virgin forests are established in the Congo - an almost complete absence of precipitation, not hot nights, warm, but not sultry days.

Mountain gorillas are considered the stars of the Congo forests, located on the territory of the oldest African natural park Virunga, and thousands of tourists come to see them every year. Tourists walking through the forest are accompanied by a guide and a local ranger. The hike lasts 1-3 hours. For a while, you can be close to families of gorillas, who are used to people and do not pay attention to cameras with large lenses, but just go about their business, for example, feast on fresh fruit.

In addition to gorillas, other primates can be seen in Virunga Park, as well as elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and about 350 bird species. The reserve also operates the Senkwekwe mountain gorilla nursery - the only one in the world.

You need a Congolese visa, which is issued in advance only at the DR Congo embassy in Moscow.

When the eyes run up from the offers of travel companies, when you don't know which is better - to go to the sea or choose an excursion program, the good old calendar of events in the world comes to the rescue. He suggests that significant interesting events take place in July, for example, in Finland, Spain, Japan and Cuba. Well, in France, lavender simply blooms, to look at which thousands of tourists from all over the world gather. Join us!

Finland

In early July, numerous guests come to the Finnish town of Sonkajärvi, which is almost 500 km away from Helsinki, to witness a strange competition - the running of husbands across a resettled area with their wives on their shoulders or on their arms - whichever is more convenient. You will have to pay for the right to take part in this event and for the opportunity to watch it.

The festival lasts two days. In addition to preliminary and main jogging, the program of the holiday includes a fair, evening discos and karaoke.

All competitors must run a distance of 253.5 meters. You can overcome it with your own or someone else's wife in your arms. The girl must be over 17 years old and over 49 kg. If the husband is lucky to have an easier spouse, he will still not be able to cheat: besides his wife, he will have to carry more sandbags so that all the participants have equal chances.

The couple who reaches the finish line first gets the reward - as much beer as the spouse weighs.

To travel to Finland, you must obtain a Schengen visa.

France

Surely many of you have seen pictures of the lucky ones posing against the backdrop of flowering lavender bushes stretching to the horizon. Such fields can be found in July in Provence, the southern French province. In the middle of summer, the lavender festival is held here, which offers fairs, exhibitions, various shows related to scented lavender.

There are lavender plantations in Provence in many places. From Marseille, people are taken on excursions to the Calanques reserve, the road to which passes by wonderful flowering meadows. From Nice, to see lavender in bloom, you need to go towards Cagnes-sur-Mer and Villeneuve-Lube, from Avignon - to Aix-en-Provence.

The most beautiful photographs of lavender fields will be taken in the village of Sol. Picturesque mountains serve as a backdrop for flowers. In this village they love and know how to receive guests - there are restaurants and souvenir shops for them, selling perfumes, soap, sachets and much more from lavender.

A wonderful lavender plantation can be found at the walls of the Abbey of Notre-Dame-de-Senanque in the suburb of Gordes. Also, tourists enjoy visiting the Valensole plateau, planted with lavender.

Japan

On the last Saturday of July, you need to be in Tokyo, in the Asakusa area, near the Sumida River, to witness the brightest summer festival - Hanabi Taikai. This fireworks festival first took place back in 1732, when a spectacular spectacle distracted the poor from the famine raging in the country and became a kind of memorial show during the celebration of the dead.

Since 1810, the festival of fireworks has become an arena for pyrotechnists seeking to show their skills. This continues in our time. Therefore, any tourist who is lucky enough to personally see the celebration of Hanabi Taikai can witness the "battle" of the best masters of special effects and fireworks.

Some fireworks charges are made according to ancient technologies, which only increases the audience's interest in the holiday. Tourists can watch bizarre, sky-blowing lights from the embankment or from the sides of special pleasure boats.

You can look up to the sky while eating hot corn, sold everywhere, and heated sake.

To visit Japan, you need to apply for a national visa.

Cuba

A funky Caribbean festival called Celebration of Fire has been held annually since 1981 in early July in the popular Cuban resort of Santiago de Cuba. Teams from 18 Caribbean countries arrive to participate in the festival. Each holiday has its own theme.

For about a week, the streets of the city turn into venues for performances of musicians, magicians, performers, dancers. The entertainment program also includes educational events, for example, various master classes are held for everyone - from culinary to dance. At the end of each day, people freeze in delight from the bright fireworks.

The final of the holiday is considered to be the Fire Parade - a procession under the light of torches and drum rolls to the place of burning of a giant stuffed animal, symbolizing the devil.

Rum pouring in the river will help to survive the hustle and bustle of the holiday. Tourists are actively involved in bright processions and after a couple of hours they can be considered "their own".

Spain

The Spanish northern city of Pamplona, which Hemingway wrote about in his novel Fiesta, is especially crowded in July - the San Fermin festival takes place here, the main event of which is considered to be running from angry bulls. The animals are released on a special 850-meter track, created right on the streets of the city. They rush after the residents of the city and tourists who are testing their fate. Thousands of spectators gather to watch this three-minute extravaganza.

The route is divided into several stages. Any participant can get off it, having passed even one stage. This privilege is willingly used by the locals who have learned from experience. Foreign tourists are trying to complete the trail.

According to the estimates of the Spanish Ministry of Tourism, the city is visited by up to 3 million people during the festival. In addition to running with the bulls, they witness a parade of masks, various shows, performances by street performers, a procession with a statue of St. Fermin, to whom, in fact, this holiday is dedicated.

Any tourist from Russia who decides to travel to Pamplona must obtain a Schengen visa in advance.

Shop tours

July is the time of summer sales in Europe. Fashionists from all over the world travel, for example, to Italy in order to drop fortunes in fashionable boutiques in Rome, Florence and Milan in a couple of days.

For some reason, you don't want to stand in lines or fight with other customers for your favorite handbag or shoes? Then Europe during the sales period is not for you. Travel to the Middle East, Emirates, where shopping is good at any time of the year.

UAE

Oriental bazaars with silk, spices and gold, huge shopping centers with hundreds of boutiques, souvenir shops, pavilions with fruits and sweets - you can find absolutely everything in the United Arab Emirates!

Connoisseurs have long been aware that shopping needs to go to the emirate of Sharjah, where the assortment of markets and malls is in no way inferior to those in Dubai. But all goods are much cheaper, as sellers pay less rent than in neighboring emirates.

Another advantage of shopping Sharjah over Dubai or Abu Dhabi is that almost all shops here work until late at night, which means that you can sunbathe during the day or go on excursions, and go shopping in the evenings.

The best bazaar in Sharjah is considered to be Blue Souk, which Russian tourists call a "locomotive" for the benches stretched out in one line. There are more than six hundred different shops where you can bargain until you get bored. In large shopping centers, it is not customary to knock down the price, but you can ask the seller if this is the best offer for today. Italy

Milan, Florence - the names of these cities sweetly squeeze the heart of any shopaholic who remembers the dates of summer sales in brand boutiques by heart. The period of price reduction for the range of Italian stores begins in July.

In Milan, immediately go to the Vittorio Emmanuele II Gallery on Piazza Duomo, where you can completely renew your wardrobe in a day, and purchases will cost 2-3 times cheaper than similar ones in Moscow.

Good shopping awaits fashionistas on Corso Buenos Aires. You can start by visiting the Luisa Spagnoli shop, which sells chic silk products.

In Florence, in July, prices for items from popular fashion houses are down 30%, for clothes of more democratic brands - by 70%. The main shopping destination in Florence is de`Cerretani street, which connects the train station with Cathedral Square. The closer you are to the historic quarters, the higher the prices in boutiques and the lower the discounts. In search of interesting things, you can also look at de`Calzaiuoli and Tornabuoni streets.

Even outlets, where prices are set much lower than in regular stores, sometimes arrange sales. Then branded items are sold for about a quarter of their value.

To travel to Italy for tourist purposes, you will need to obtain a Schengen visa.

Active recreation, diving, surfing

In summer, I especially do not want to sit in one place - there will still be time for this in late autumn or winter. Active, cheerful tourists discover the world, finding something to do anywhere in the world. In the Bahamas, you can learn how to drive a canoe, in cold Greenland even in summer - a dog sled. The Adriatic Sea near the coast of Croatia will appeal to novice divers, the taiga Altai - to those who dream of being confident in the saddle. Turkey, in general, seems to have been specially created by the gods for athletes of all stripes: here you can paraglide, ride jet bots and jeeps and do a lot of other interesting things.

Turkey

All inclusive hotels, beaches, four seas, interesting historical monuments, natural parks - this is not all that Turkey has to offer. For the most daring, there is a lot of exciting things to do:

  • paragliding. Parachute flights, which are pulled by boats, are possible in absolutely all Turkish resorts. Another thing is a paragliding jump from a great height and, if you're lucky, a long free soaring in the air. Fans of such a pastime gather on Mount Baba Dag 1936 meters high in Oludeniz Bay, near Fethiye;
  • rafting on jet bots - almost flat ships equipped with a serious engine. Such a boat with tourists on board begins a rapid descent along a restless rocky mountain river. He just flies through some areas, bypasses the rocks protruding from the water at turns. In terms of the power of sensations, tourists compare the descent on a jet boat with a roller coaster. Similar rafting is offered in the Köprülü canyon;
  • safari on ATVs and jeeps. ATVs are small cars on high wheels designed for one person. Even if you have never sat behind the wheel of such a unit, after 5 minutes of driving you will already be an ace. The most interesting route, which can be driven by ATVs or jeeps, is laid in the Taurus Mountains. You can also take a ride from the town of Silion to the Uchansu waterfall.

Turkey accepts tourists from Russia without visas.

Croatia

Croatia has 1,700 km of Adriatic coastline. Add to this wealth of 1185 islands and imagine how many diving spots you can find here!

The Adriatic Sea, of course, cannot be compared in beauty and scenic beauty with the Red Sea, but there is also something to see. Visibility in clear waters is about 40 meters. Having descended into the depths of the sea, just freeze so that the sea inhabitants take you for "their own", and then use a flashlight to light up the dive site - a rock or an underwater cave where colorful sponges, starfish, octopuses, and curious little fish live.

In addition to interesting natural formations, in the waters of Croatia there are ancient flooded ships that are allowed to be explored by divers. Near Istria, the wrecks Baron Gautsch, Coriolanus, Flamingo and some others are of interest. They lie at a depth of 11 to 45 meters and are accessible even to inexperienced divers. Near the coast of Split you can find under water ships "Vassilios", "Tet", "Brioni". The German warship S-57 sank near Dubrovnik in 1944, to which diving is also performed.

You will be allowed to enter Croatia only if you have a national visa in your passport.

Altai

The harsh mountain Altai with impetuous rivers, beautiful lakes with spring water, spacious alpine meadows, almost impenetrable cedar forests conquered only the most courageous riders.

Several interesting horse routes have been developed in Altai. A ten-day horse trek in Altai is suitable for those who are uncertain in the saddle. The longer route is chosen by experienced riders. It lasts approximately 15 days.

You can go hiking in Altai from the "Arcadia" shelter, which is located in the Chemalsky district near the village of Elekmonar. Tourists are given hardy, undersized Altai horses with a docile disposition.

The first stop on the route will be Karakol lakes, located among the taiga forest. Seven Karakol lakes are located at an altitude of 1820-2097 meters above sea level. In one of the lakes, the water contains silver impurities, therefore it is considered curative.

Then travelers on horseback ascend to the Muekhta River, near which you can find a sanctuary called Castles of Mountain Spirits. This is the name of the rocks, vaguely similar to the fortress. They say that there are spirits living here who really do not like bad people.

Having overcome the Ayaryk pass, tourists get to the Akka and Ayaryk lakes. You can swim in the latter - the water in them will be warm in summer. After a picnic on the 2300-meter-high Kylaya Mountain, people return to the Arcadia shelter.

Greenland

The northern possession of Denmark is Greenland with its eternal ice, snow and amazing entertainment for tourists - dog sledding. It is better to come here in the summer, when you can be outdoors for more than one hour and not be afraid of freezing all your limbs.

Sledding pulled by sled dogs is an unusual attraction only for tourists. Locals consider dogs to be a common form of transport along with a snowmobile.

Dogs are treated very carefully here. It is not allowed to breed non-sled dogs beyond the Arctic Circle.

In southern Greenland, snow can melt in July, so you need to go to Tasilak for dog riding. Snow-covered fields can be found beyond the Arctic Circle. In any northern village it is easy to find dog owners who will agree to ride tourists. Travelers usually go to Ilulisat, where there are twice as many dogs as local residents. Disco Island is available for dog racing.

Tourists will be welcomed in Umanaka, where the plains under a lonely mountain 1170 meters high are adapted for skiing.

A visa to Greenland is issued through the Danish consulate.

Bahamas

The Bahamas includes a truly paradise place - the Exuma archipelago, which is more than three hundred coral cliffs with sandy beaches and cozy lagoons hidden from immodest eyes. You can move from island to island by kayaking - the sea between them is very shallow and not suitable for the movement of more solid ships that could interfere with nimble boats.

The water is so clear that all the underwater inhabitants are visible right from the kayak - leisurely manta rays, harmless sharks, nimble fish. It is not necessary to return to the starting point on the same day - it is allowed to spend the night on any island they like: tourists pitch tents and enjoy solitude and peace.

Kayaking trips usually start from the village of Barreterre, from which the island chain Brigantina begins. The first stop can be made on Boisi Key Island. A little further away are the Long Key and New Key islands, where it is also convenient to spend the night.

Kayaks are rented on site - on the Exuma Islands. You can get here by plane in the direction of Nassau - George Town.

Russians do not need to get a visa to the Bahamas.

Study tours

Summer is a great opportunity to improve your foreign language. Abroad, there are many language schools for children and adults, special camps where the child attends classes, goes on excursions, plays sports and improves his knowledge of a foreign language, communicating with peers and teachers who are native speakers.

It is better to go to Paris for French language courses, although you can find language schools in other cities of France if you wish.

American language schools in New York invite adults who know grammar, can read and speak English, but want to improve their knowledge (and at the same time see the city of the Big Apple).

France

There are quite a few linguistic schools and language camps in the capital of France. All of them are united by an interesting approach to teaching students. The management of such schools is well aware that in the summer children want to relax and gain strength before the new school year, so the program includes not only lessons (from 25 to 35 hours a week), but also educational excursions around the city, and the opportunity to attend numerous sports sections.

Some of the best language schools in Paris include:

  • Accord Paris. It accepts students (the minimum age is 6 years) all year round, but only in the summer you can see the excitement here. The school building is located in the city center, near the Paris Opera. Accommodation is offered in an apartment (hotel) or with a family. The French language is studied here in small groups and in individual lessons. The emphasis is on fluent French in everyday life;
  • "Sprachcaffe Paris", which is located in Montmartre. This school accepts children who are already 16 years old. In the summer, there are also two-week courses for students aged 15-21. The school has developed several programs that allow you to master new knowledge as efficiently as possible. It is recommended to live with a French-speaking family for full immersion in the language environment. In addition to French, you can also study English, Chinese, Spanish and several other languages;
  • L'Atelier 9 on rue de Treves, where education is offered to adults only. The age range of local students is from 18 to 98 years old. Language learning takes place in a group of up to 9 students. There can be from 2 to 20 lessons per week - depending on the chosen course of study.

A Schengen visa is required in the passport.

USA

In the United States, most of the prestigious language schools are located in Miami, Los Angeles and New York. In the latter, you can find schools for every taste. Don't like classes from morning to evening, or don't suit overcrowded groups? Just look for another school.

By the way, most students come to New York on a tourist, not a student visa, and only on the spot, going around school after school, they choose the right one.

Excellent knowledge is provided by expensive schools "New York Language Center", "Kaplan Aspest", "Geos" and some others. Classes from about 12 noon to 4 pm are offered at Manhattan Language School. During the rest of the time, students can walk around New York, interacting with native speakers and, thus, strengthening their knowledge.

Before enrolling in courses, all students are tested, according to the results of which they are divided into groups. Before entering a linguistic school, you should choose a training program in advance. US schools teach basic English, business and prepare students for TOEFL exams and the like.

The advantages of studying at language schools in New York include the fact that courses here are cheaper than in the UK or Malta.

An American visa will be required.

Inexpensive vacation in July - what to choose?

Image
Image

How to choose a country for a vacation so that the travel budget does not burst at the seams, and there is enough money for entertainment, excursions and souvenirs, and maybe full-fledged shopping? In fact, it is very easy to find such a place. You need to go either to a place where there are few tourists in the summer, which means that prices for everything will be reduced by 30 percent, or to cities where there are always a lot of visitors, and therefore it makes no sense for local residents to greatly increase the cost of food, travel, etc., because people will bring them their money anyway. The first category of holiday destinations is the Indian state of Goa, where the high season will begin only in October. The second is the city of Istanbul, where it is always crowded, regardless of the season.

Istanbul

No longer Europe, but not yet Asia, Istanbul, which for a long time was called Constantinople, knows how to surprise absolutely everyone.

Tourists on a budget are shocked by local prices, which are orders of magnitude lower than European ones. If your task is to save your hard-earned money, then walk more, which is very easy to do in Istanbul, instead of going to restaurants, buy delicious street snacks (barbecue, kebabs, sweets, fried fish under the Galata Bridge), ride on cheap ferries on the Bosphorus, getting a lot of impressions, watching city life from the water. The pier is located on the Eminenu embankment.

Another treasured place to remember before flying to Istanbul is the Kabatas Marine Terminal. Regular ferries to the Princes' Islands leave from here. Tickets are very cheap. The boat will take you to Buyukada Island, built up with villas of the 18th-19th centuries. There are no cars here, and all tourists move either on rented bicycles or horse carriages. You can go around the whole island in two hours or walk around in four.

Back in the city, go for a walk through Istanbul parks - in the shade of old trees in July it is easy and free to breathe.

Russians can freely come to Istanbul with one passport. You do not need to obtain a Turkish visa.

Goa, India

In summer, in the low season in Goa, when only the most loyal fans of this place remain on the shores of the Indian Ocean, you can have time to do everything that beach lovers do not have enough time for - finally, to see all the local attractions. Feel free to book excursions - they are inexpensive here, and in summer, when there are few tourists, you will also be given a substantial discount.

You can go to Old Goa, where Catholic temples have been preserved and there is a Hindu sanctuary of Shanta Durga. Lovers of wildlife are happy to go on an excursion to the Dudhsagar waterfall, in the bowl of which it is allowed to swim. On the way to the waterfall, tourists are invited to feed the wild monkeys.

If you live in the north of Goa, then take an excursion to the south of the state - to Palolem Beach. In principle, you can get there on your own, but you have to make a couple of transfers. The guided tour includes a visit to the workshops of several local craftsmen. Travelers will also be shown the process of producing an alcoholic drink from cashews.

Alternatively, take a boat ride on the Mandovi River to Divar Island, which is lined with old Portuguese houses now inhabited by Hindus. Guests can visit three houses, see the life of the inhabitants of Goa. Each tour costs between $ 40 and $ 80.

To save money, settle in the north of Goa, where unpretentious housing will cost $ 10-20 per day. South Goa hotel rooms are offered for $ 100.

A form allowing you to stay in Goa is issued directly at the airport in exchange for an international passport.

Where to go in July without a visa?

What a happiness it is - just to take a passport and give up somewhere for a couple of days, not fearing that you will be wrapped at the border due to the lack of a visa. If you think that there are very few countries where you can go without first obtaining a visa, we hasten to please you: there are enough of them to choose a route that suits your needs and an acceptable low-cost flight.

List of visa-free countries

For a weekend or a full-fledged vacation in July, Yerevan is suitable, where there will be no language problems, since everyone knows Russian, and Hong Kong is a futuristic city of skyscrapers and huge malls.

Armenia

Getting to know the country should start from its capital. Yerevan has everything that every self-respecting capital should have: spacious squares, wide promenades built up with mansions made of light tuff, beautiful squares with cool fountains.

Despite all this pathos, Yerevan is considered the coziest city in the world. This fact is especially acute in the evening, when absolutely all residents of the Armenian capital go to dinner at numerous cafes in the city center. There are so many different catering establishments here that sometimes it is even impossible to draw a border between them. The respected audience is entertained by jazz musicians. And above all this "disgrace" there is a unique smell of freshly brewed coffee, which they love and know how to cook here.

There are many things to do in Yerevan:

  • take a walk in the neighborhoods surrounding the Opera;
  • visit the Art Gallery of Armenia, which displays an excellent selection of paintings by local masters and artists from Western Europe;
  • see the remains of the Erebuni fortress of the Urartu times, which are located on the Arin-Berd hill;
  • look into Matenadaran - a place where about 17 thousand old manuscripts are kept.

After relaxing in Yerevan, head to Lake Sevan, the local sea, where you can swim and taste freshly caught trout prepared according to the recipes of Armenian grandmothers.

Hong Kong

Occupying the Kowloon Peninsula and several islands, Hong Kong is not exactly China. This city has autonomous status and remembers the times of British rule all too well. There are amazing hotels and restaurants, where the staff guesses the client's wishes by the movement of the eyebrows. Sellers in fashion boutiques - and Hong Kong is considered a paradise for shopaholics - show miracles of patience and are ready to bring more and more shoes and clothes to each client for hours.

Despite the fact that it is humid and hot in July in Hong Kong, it is still worth going here, since the local authorities took care of their residents and tourists in a very original way - they united the second floors of skyscrapers with covered galleries, along which you can move around without showing your nose at all outside.

If you do decide to take a walk in the open air, then go first of all to Central - this is the name of the heart of business Hong Kong. Here, among the office skyscrapers, fragments of the colonial city are still preserved - the governor's mansion, St. John's Temple. Then you need to see Victoria Park, which is laid out on the slope of Victoria Peak, where everyone is taken by the Peak Tram. There is an observation deck at the top.

In general, there will be no problems with viewing the city from a height. Just find a bar or restaurant on the upper floors of skyscrapers and take beautiful photos in unlimited quantities.

The best view of Hong Kong's skyscrapers is from the Tsim-Sha-Tsui waterfront on the mainland. Kowloon Peninsula with Hong Kong Island, where the city's business district is located, is connected by Star Ferry ferries - another local attraction.
