Santa Monica, due to its proximity to Los Angeles, is the choice of many American celebrities for their vacations, who do not want to fly far away for the sake of the same as here, long beaches with white sand, gentle turquoise ocean and interesting nightlife.
Honolulu and Hawaii in general, according to the Americans themselves, are like another planet. The Hawaiian archipelago and its main island, Oahu, are covered in tropical jungle with hiking trails. Local beaches gather big wave lovers and divers. Holidays in Honolulu are not cheap, but they will be remembered for a lifetime!
