Pilgrimage tours in Russia are trips on which travelers go to see the Orthodox shrines of our country. As a rule, tours are developed for pilgrims with a duration of 3-7 days, but no more than 12 (in this case, pilgrims are either sent on a journey by boat, or their route is laid to remote regions of Russia, the journey to which takes a long time).

Balaam

Pilgrims visiting Valaam go to the Holy Transfiguration Monastery. For them, there are monastic hotels that can accommodate up to 200 people (for pilgrims who stay here for a long time, obedience can be assigned - work to help the monastery). Here everyone can leave notes about the repose and health of Orthodox Christians.

Kizhi

Guests of the Kizhi island will be offered to visit the following holy places:

  • Transfiguration Church: it was built of wood without a single nail. The church is called “summer”, since there are no services in winter (the building is famous for its original onion-shaped domes). The 4-tiered iconostasis with more than 100 icons deserves the attention of pilgrims.
  • Church of the Intercession: it is called the “winter” temple (the temple is crowned with 9 domes), since services are held here from October to Easter (pilgrims will be able to see icons dating back to the 17th century).
  • Hipped bell tower: it underwent significant restoration in 1991 (a five-march staircase leads to the belfry - stunning views of the surroundings open from a 20-meter height).

Solovki

Pilgrims are invited to visit the Solovetsky Monastery, the main shrines of which are the relics of the founders of the monastery and many revered saints. In addition, you can visit the museum, whose exhibits illustrate the terrible life of the prisoners of the Solovetsky camp, and honor their memory.

Diveevo

Everyone who wants to see the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Tenderness", the relics of Seraphim of Sarov, as well as the Monks Helena, Martha and Alexandra of Diveevsky rushes to the Seraphim-Diveyevo Monastery.

Holy springs are of no less interest to pilgrims: for example, they rush to the Kazan spring (there is a chapel and a bathhouse), the water in which heals many diseases.

Sergiev Posad

In Sergiev Posad, the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius is of interest for pilgrims. The monastic ensemble includes more than 50 buildings, of which more than 10 buildings are temples. So, in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, pilgrims can see the relics and things (staff, schema, several liturgical plates) of Sergius of Radonezh, in the Assumption Cathedral - the relics of Macarius Nevsky and Innokenty of Moscow, and in the Mikheevskaya church - the relics of Micah of Radonezh.
