The difference between the two Koreas is fantastic! Its northern part is, as it were, stuck in the Soviet past, barely moving forward towards technical innovations and progress. But its southern neighbor has left many major powers far behind. Seoul, the amazing capital of South Korea, is the main confirmation of this.
Its description is subject only to the pen or, rather, the tablet of a modern science fiction writer. Where else can you see so many technical innovations, futuristic gadgets - like helipads on the roofs of houses in the center of the capital. And next to them are ancient buildings in the national style, dating back more than one century.
Historical excursion
Seoul is the largest city in South Korea; in addition, it claims to be the financial and cultural center not only of the country, but of the entire East Asia. The capital has such interesting description names as "City of Contrasts" and "City of Paradoxes".
In the 17th century BC. the first human settlements arose here. The city of Wireson, which occupied the territory of modern Seoul, was the capital of the state of Baekje. It received its current status in 1948 with the acquisition of independence by South Korea.
Shopping in Seoul
On the city map, it’s easier than ever to find the places where the main capital trade unfolded:
