The Caspian Sea and the waters of the Persian Gulf, oasis cities and vents of extinct volcanoes, and, of course, a hijab walk - that's what a trip to Iran is all about.

Air travel

Almost all large cities in the country have direct flights. Traveling from small towns is possible only by transit flights passing through the territory of Tehran. Domestic flights are operated by several carrier companies. But the largest is the local Iran Air.

The cost of flights is quite reasonable, but if you plan to save money, then it is best to book tickets in advance.

Railway connection

Although the railway network covers almost the entire country, unfortunately, it is the passenger rail service that is not developed here. But the available routes are still much cheaper, more convenient and faster than traveling by bus.

When buying a ticket, pay attention to the class. In total, Iranian trains are of three classes: four-seater compartments (compartments for six passengers are very rare) with berths; soft armchairs; hard chairs. The fare is very, very budgetary. You can buy a ticket at the station from where you plan to board the train.

Intercity communication

Roads in the country are everywhere, and therefore the bus service between cities is well developed. By bus you can get to almost all cities and villages of Iran.

Most of the buses have air conditioning systems, and the trip will be quite comfortable. The disadvantages include frequent changes to the current schedule. In addition, many drivers send their car on the road only after filling the cabin with passengers.

Urban transport

Buses and minibuses are used as public transport in the country. It should be borne in mind that car interiors have a clear division into two halves: female and male.

Taxi

The system of public transport routes is very confusing, and it is rather difficult for a guest of the country to understand it. That is why it is most convenient to use a taxi to get around the city. The cost of trips is not high and will not cause much damage to the contents of the wallet. In addition, Iranian taxi drivers try to deceive tourists much less often than their counterparts from other eastern countries.
