Description of the attraction
The Lutheran Cathedral, located in the northwestern part of the city of Bergen, was first mentioned at the beginning of the 12th century. Like the church of St. Olaf. It was on this site that the first stone temple stood.
During the reign of King Haakon VI, a Franciscan monastery was built near him. In 1537 the temple acquired the status of a cathedral.
